"But it is not enough for me to stand before you tonight and condemn riots. It would be morally irresponsible for me to do that without, at the same time, condemning the contingent, intolerable conditions that exist in our society. These conditions are the things that cause individuals to feel that they have no other alternative than to engage in violent rebellions to get attention. And I must say tonight that a riot is the language of the unheard. And what is it America has failed to hear? It has failed to hear that the plight of the negro poor has worsened over the last twelve or fifteen years. It has failed to hear that the promises of freedom and justice have not been met. And it has failed to hear that large segments of white society are more concerned about tranquility and the status quo than about justice and humanity." - Martin Luther King, Jr

Anything interesting happen in college football the last 48-72 hours? No? No big rivalry wins or coaching changes? Nothing like that?

Just checking.

Baylor!  :woot1:

Honestly, that last drive, I thought once OkSt was in FG range, I thought it was over. The way they were moving the ball and the fact the Baylor D had held all day, I figured they had to give sooner or later.
And then with that PI in the end zone, I thought, just let them score and save time.
But then they had a goal line stand, AGAIN. This time to end the game, by mere inches.
Man, that was amazing

ok the playoffs are a week away.... what do you guys think the playoffs will conclude?

I am thinking the same as a above Bama Mich,

I am thinking Bama/Mich will be a close one....Bama isnt like the juggernaut last year. and Bama is beat up with a lot of injuries plus no Devonta Smith and Metchie. This Bama team is very beatable

If Michigan had to lose to anyone in the playoff, I'm glad it was to the eventual national champion Georgia - sorry Tider. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
At least your team can take solace in the fact that if Georgia could do that to Michigan, they could do that to anyone including Bama.  ;)

(see my post above yours)

No worries, I wasnt confident in this game like the SEC. we lost Metchie to UGA in Dec, Jamo lost him early tonight, our long ball was doomed. We had 3 RBs gone for the season and 1 LB and lost 2 corners.

Considering what we lost to the NFL and injuries and if you had offered me an SEC, Heisman and played a close Natty game for 3 qtrs? I would have took it and ran.

This Bama team over achieved and with no long threat UGA had our number. We hung in there and fought and the better team won.  Cant win them all, plus i think I have seen the best Bama team ever play last year and this year was a rebuilding year. Our OL was terrible all year. Thats why we lost to A&M and UGA and played close games to auburn and such, we could not block. Bryce deserved the Heisman for what he played behind.

Congrats to UGA, not going to win them all and its good to even play for it.  I lived through the early 2000's of Bama football and I am enjoying every minute of this ride. I would have killed to appear in the SEC title game back then, now we are playingf for Nattiy almost every year. Its a good time, and we cant win them all. Plus they won a title when my son was a freshman and senior. (2017 and 2020) Its good times.
