"But it is not enough for me to stand before you tonight and condemn riots. It would be morally irresponsible for me to do that without, at the same time, condemning the contingent, intolerable conditions that exist in our society. These conditions are the things that cause individuals to feel that they have no other alternative than to engage in violent rebellions to get attention. And I must say tonight that a riot is the language of the unheard. And what is it America has failed to hear? It has failed to hear that the plight of the negro poor has worsened over the last twelve or fifteen years. It has failed to hear that the promises of freedom and justice have not been met. And it has failed to hear that large segments of white society are more concerned about tranquility and the status quo than about justice and humanity." - Martin Luther King, Jr

Well...this isn't the dumpster fire of a firing/resignation that was Tim Beckman and Illinois FB a couple of years ago, but it's close. :D

QuoteOle Miss football coach Hugh Freeze resigned effective immediately on Thursday night, with the Rebels' athletic director telling ESPN that school officials found a pattern that included phone calls to a number associated with a female escort service.

You can cheat your ass off and keep your job screw you NCAA, you hire one hooker and you are out. They have a reputation to uphold. Rumor is he was hiring them for recruits, this could go nuclear if true. I say death penalty or bust on Ole Miss.

Very cute, translation "No one wants to go to Standford to finish 2nd or 3rd in the pac 12, and get left out of the CFB playoff. So I won't waste my time and throw shade at the intelligence of a region of people"

Top 25 poll released.
(Coaches) Highlights of fans here and their rivals
#1 Bama
#2 OSU
#3 FSU
#5 Clemson
#6 PSU
#7 Washington
#9 Michigan
#13 Auburn
#24 Tennessee

I think Tennessee will be replacing their coach this year. They will probably be 6-6 or 5-7...

Auburn may also, their season could be 5-7 or 10-2 thats how close their margin of error is.

Georgia Souther - W
Clemson - L? Clemson is rebuilding a bit and could upset Clemson
Mercer - W
Mizzou - W (Would love Mizzou to pull the upset though)
Miss State - W? (MSU always plays the barn close, but since I said that, the barn will route them lol)
Ole Miss - W (Dumpster fire down there)
LSU- L? (Coach O is such a bad coach that he may let Gus out coach him)
ARky - W? (Not sure Bert can pull this off, but he usually does one upset a year in the SEC)
A&M - W/L? (Sumlin could be looking for a job soon, this is a game A&M needs for sure) (Toss up pick)
UGA- L? (Richt left the cubbard full and Kirby has killed it on the recruiting trail)
La Monroe - W
Bama - L

I am going to say they go 8-4 regular season.

Pretty excited to see Washington up there at the start of the season. Can't believe the turnaround that's happened since Petersen has gotten here.

He has done a great job that is for sure.

I'm really sour about Herman ditching UH. I mean, I guess we all knew he would, but he was so promising and dedicated to the players and university, not to mention really cemented our turnaround.
But, I guess that's college football.
I really still like the guy but just not sure I can wish him well at Texas

TheNorm

Michigan ranked 9th after losing at least nine starters on the defense from 2016 and a whole batch of their skill position players on offense to graduation and the draft...I dig it. A lot of questions about this team but I see 10-2 with the coaching staff in place.
