Day 22
A song that's over 9 minutes

Fun fact: at one point in time I knew every word to this song. "I said a hip hop, hippie to the hippie..."

Day 21
A song you can listen to before falling asleep

This is iconic...and should be familiar to anyone that's seen Ocean's Eleven.

That Sinister Minister tune I'd slide into more of the Bluegrass category; they're described as a Jazz Fusion/Bluegrass/Jam Band...I was typically more partial to their Jazz stuff and had seen them open for Dave Matthews Band a few times (jam band), but this one had me hooked. Vic Wooten is an absolute wizard on the bass.

lol dang norm

Im going with Lola  :o

Haha, I'm no innocent either...I may have mentioned this once or twice before: I don't make the same mistake twice. I make it five or six times just to be really sure. Anyway...

Day 20 (made it just under the wire)
An obscure song you want people to hear

This bassline by Victor Wooten is just incredible...hell, this entire song is pretty damn good too.

I get that, but if as a league you're walking a fine line of letting them play/protect the player, the league needs to be more consistent on protecting the player. Yeah, I get there's risks involved in the game but to me that's a penalty all the time...and they'll call it that way.
Is the league perfect? No, no one is...but other than adopting college's targeting rule (which is also a joke open to interpretation), I'm really not sure what other solutions they can use.

Tell me how well tackling by the waist worked for #43 on the Saints last week.

Different situations here. Diggs was still in the air when Williams went for the ill-advised tackle. Gronk had his feet on the ground when he got hit at helmet level. They'll call that all day and odds are his wallet's gonna be a little lighter later this week too.

I love Richard Sherman and his insight. I also think offensive players are coddled a bit. However, this take is dumb: that was a clear case of helmet to helmet, and there's a good couple of feet of space between a dude's head and his knees. Last I checked Gronk, like every other human being playing football, has a waist.

Predictions? Mine:
Pats (and the GOAT) 27-17
Eagles 17 - 14 (I'd be fine with both NFC teams losing TBH)

Day 19
A song about a person

I'm not going to go with a hard and fast rule that the person's name has to be in the song; you can usually tell in the lyrics of a song that someone else served as a muse for the songwriter. Such is the case with the one I chose, which also reminds me of my last ex...not really a good thing. LOL  :o

Day 18
A song that reminds you of your mortality

I went back and forth between this one and Johnny Cash's version of "We'll Meet Again".

Otis Redding - Sittin' On the Dock of the Bay

norm, Imma follow you into the county realm with this Mary Chapin Carpenter song, Shut Up and Kiss Me.
Not completely without bias since that is my cousin they brought in on the guitar solo :D

Really? That's pretty damn cool man.  :woot:

Hmm...might need to fire this up again and start over. Just realized they've been dropping free DLC for this game since last summer, and it should continue up until this summer.

Songs to drive along to will be a thread for another day.  ;)

Day 17
A song from a genre you don't usually like

My dislike for country is pretty strong, so I'll keep it simple. I can't place why, but I really enjoy watching this video too...might need to watch it a couple more times. Bonus points if you can figure out what 90s blockbuster this was on a soundtrack for.

Day 16
A song to play driving late at night

Could go a bunch of ways with this one...ultimately I think I'll go with Van Morrison's best song.

Van Morrison - Into the Mystic
