Day 7
Least favorite episode of one of your favorites

Parks and Recreation - Sister City (S2E5)

Let's be completely honest: you're probably going to see quite a few Parks & Recreation picks from me over the next few weeks, it was one of my favorites. That being said...the first season was uneven and showed very little flashes of what it would be. Season two started off strongly, making Leslie Knope a little less similar to The Office's Michael Scott (thank god) and more like the leader she would become, and the supporting cast also played bigger (and better) parts. For some reason, this episode fell back to the season one formula of making Leslie someone that could easily be fooled. The episode revolves around the department hosting their counterparts from their sister city of Boraqua, Venezuela. The department initially thinks that their visitors will be impressed with American luxuries, only to find out the Venezuelans think Pawnee is a dump. The episode devolves into them mocking and ridiculing Leslie, and really it's just foolish. They also think since Tom (Aziz Ansari's character) is an errand boy for whatever reason.

Yeah, I really can't top any of those...if Michael Corleone settling all family business qualified that would probably be my number one, but other than that...

Day 6
Favorite tv show episode

House, M.D. - "Three Stories"
I really miss this show being on Netflix, and neither Hulu or Prime Video have stepped up to the plate to pick this up yet. This episode was from the first season, and revolves around House teaching a diagnostics lecture. The lecture centers on three patients (a departure from the formula of most episodes aired to this point), and how they differed in their treatment. The lecture eventually fills up with more students as it continues, including his three internists.

I love this episode because the dialogue was witty, and the story was well-written and paced perfectly. It was riveting and you find out a lot about certain characters and their story by the end of it. When this show first landed on Netflix, this was the first episode I'd fired up, and I can guarantee once it hits another streaming service I'll fire it up again.

Yeah, we'll keep this one politics free. Shoot up a warning if it's NSFW though.

I agree with this. Hockey, fine...curling, I'd love to try. Sure I've snowboarded before but nothing like they do. But I dunno, flying down an icy trail in excess of 70mph crotch first with very little protection just doesn't seem like my idea of a fun time to me.

Star Trek: TNG was better than the original series, and Jean-Luc Picard was a way better captain than Kirk.
And when it comes to Kirk, Chris Pine > William Shatner.

Oooh, good question! I had to think about this one...this may even require an honorable mention lol :) Since Crewe already had Sopranos in his (easily a top 5), I'll leave it out of mine here.

5. Buffy the Vampire Slayer - this show was an addiction.

4. House MD - always thought the song choice for this was perfect.

3. Star Trek: The Next Generation - this series was my favorite Star Trek. And Picard > Kirk, always.

2. The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air - Now this is a story all about how/my life got flipped, turned upside down/And I'd like to take a minute, just sit right there/I'll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Bel-Air
I haven't watched this show in years, but when looking this up I still remembered every word to this theme.

1. Batman: The Animated Series - one of the best intro sequences ever. Also helped that Batman is my favorite and this cartoon was incredible...I would seriously try to plan my college course and work schedules so that I was free when this was on.

Day 5
A show you hate

Could probably include this in the unpopular opinion thread (I may already have lol), but this one was easy. Seinfeld by a mile. Seemed like every single one of the characters was an annoying, neurotic mess. F them all.

Day 4
Your favorite show ever

This is a really tough question to answer, because it really could change depending on my mood...ultimately though, I've got to go with the show I bought the box set of the entire series for. I was overjoyed when this show ended up first on Amazon Prime Video, and then currently on Netflix. If it were in syndication on a network somewhere, odds are I'd watch it even if there were other things on. It featured an ensemble cast, along with Aaron Sorkin's now trademark witty dialogue and rich developed characters. And if it was an idealistic look at politics back when it aired then (1999-2006, tail end of WJC, majority of GWB), it looks like an alternate paradise universe compared to now. I love this show so much...of course I'm talking about West Wing.

Day 3
Your favorite new show (aired within the last 2-3 years)

One of the very few new shows I've checked out within the last two years and have actually enjoyed. It was a smart and witty take on the modern dating life, and had a good cast of characters too. Also able to touch on some social issues as well, without getting too in your face about it. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't already. Here's the trailer for Season 1.

I was late to the party on watching this. It is a space western and I loved it. Only 1 season and a movie to "Tie up losse ends" if you will.

Right there with you, I loved this show.

Day 2
A show that you wish more people were watching

I'm going to take this as show currently running, so this is slightly problematic for me in the sense that I don't get to watch too much tv, and when I do it's usually binge-watching older shows I've watched a bunch of times before. Mainly posting this one because it'd at least be nice to find someone else to talk about it with lol.

Fresh Off the Boat is in its third season now, and based on the book by chef Eddie Huang. I was drawn in because it was nice to see an Asian family on tv; that's just not something I grew up with and IMO it's awesome to see some representation. I wouldn't have stuck with it if that's all it had, though; luckily this show is well written and the cast is great. Check it out sometime.

Since the last 30 day thing went pretty well (and once again, thanks to all of you for participating), guess we can start a new one. You know how this works, play as much or as little as you want. Either way, I look forward to hearing everyone's responses.

Day 1
A show that should never have been canceled

Chuck ran on NBC for five seasons and was in danger of being canceled from the second season onward to the finale. It was an action/romcom/spy drama that centered on the title character that, through an accident, ended up in possession of highly valuable state secrets. The pilot focused on the CIA and NSA competing to track him down, before realizing they had to work together to keep him safe. The storytelling was incredible from beginning to end, and I really think it could've used another season or two. Trailer below.

Other than all that catch/no catch BS, I thought it was an awesome game. I also have a buzz and hit a square so there's that too  :woot:

...and while I absolutely despise Philly and their fanbase, congrats to Brandon Graham. He played on one of the worst Michigan football teams I've ever seen in my life (Rich Rodriguez, 2008) and still worked his ass off. Props to him, dude deserves it.

May we also never hear of "dilly dilly" ever again.
