"But it is not enough for me to stand before you tonight and condemn riots. It would be morally irresponsible for me to do that without, at the same time, condemning the contingent, intolerable conditions that exist in our society. These conditions are the things that cause individuals to feel that they have no other alternative than to engage in violent rebellions to get attention. And I must say tonight that a riot is the language of the unheard. And what is it America has failed to hear? It has failed to hear that the plight of the negro poor has worsened over the last twelve or fifteen years. It has failed to hear that the promises of freedom and justice have not been met. And it has failed to hear that large segments of white society are more concerned about tranquility and the status quo than about justice and humanity." - Martin Luther King, Jr

Anyone got any upsets they are predicting? I am going on a longshot and calling Mississippi State over LSU.

In hindsight, I think I would've picked Memphis over UCLA too.  ;D

A couple of weeks ago I really was thinking Michigan rolls to an 10-2, 11-1 record...but now while the defense has continued to be as dominant as they were in week one against Florida, their offense has also been consistently mediocre. Wilton Speight has regressed since last season, overthrowing receivers or just straight up missing them. The running game has been okay, but when your QB continues to miss receivers it makes the job easier for the defense to key on the run and force Speight to beat them. They've had a huge margin of error the last few weeks, but that's only going to get smaller once Big Ten play opens...at Purdue, a team that just went into Mizzou and beat 'em down in their own house.

So yeah, there are concerns.

Well that Texas/USC game was fun. Law of Gus in full effect! First half had a great finish with this play:

While I missed the majority of the second half (Canelo/GGG), that fight wrapped up just in time to catch the last two minutes and OT. What a finish.

Also overshadowed one hell of a finish in the Vols/Gators game (a game that was absolute garbage until the 4th)...

Hey Tennessee...how do you let a guy get that open? Where was the deep help?

Good catch, that was a beatdown.

THanks, but I expected MSU to win by a FG, did not expect this. MSU has a lot of talent and a good coach + LSU has a moron as a coach = MSU upset. MSU did not get a lot of love in the pre season.

*sigh* Some teams never learn...why must you give bulletin board material to this Michigan defense? Hell, I hope it's enough to snap the offense out of its slumber too. Thanks, random dumb Boilers player.

Once again, duty called while Michigan played so I didn't see much, but wow...that defense.  8)

...and John O'Korn has to be the starter at QB for Michigan moving forward, right? Judging solely on highlights and twitter opinions I trust (yeah, I know), the offense just seemed to move better with him there once Speight was out (injury). Two weeks to get ready for the rivalry game against MSU.

As for the Purdue WR that talked some smack before the game...

As for other games, that Penn State/Iowa finish was nuts...hoping Penn State used up all their night game magic this season escaping Kinnick Stadium with a W, as it might be relevant to my interests a few weeks later. Saquon Barkley is fun.

Him against that Michigan defense (and LB Devin Bush) should be a treat. Look what Bush did to this poor Purdue player lol

...and Kentucky: again?? Really??? I trusted you fools and you do this crap again

Couple of years ago, O'Korn had his breakout year in Houston filling in for Piland who retired early due to a concussion. But we had a new head coach and three OC's in three years so his next season was horrendous and was benched for Ward who singlehandedly saved the season. Then, off he went to Michigan.
Hope he fares well.

Apparently the HC at Houston during that time is now the co-offensive coordinator at Purdue...actually, this probably tells the story better lol
