Could've swore we covered this one...but it's worth revisiting. Not like anything's going on anyway lol.

*EDIT* Yep, we did-somewhere around page 10. My list has definitely changed since we last discussed this, curious to see if anyone else's has.
"But it is not enough for me to stand before you tonight and condemn riots. It would be morally irresponsible for me to do that without, at the same time, condemning the contingent, intolerable conditions that exist in our society. These conditions are the things that cause individuals to feel that they have no other alternative than to engage in violent rebellions to get attention. And I must say tonight that a riot is the language of the unheard. And what is it America has failed to hear? It has failed to hear that the plight of the negro poor has worsened over the last twelve or fifteen years. It has failed to hear that the promises of freedom and justice have not been met. And it has failed to hear that large segments of white society are more concerned about tranquility and the status quo than about justice and humanity." - Martin Luther King, Jr

I can't really argue against my choices. Could be that it's 12:20 AM.

Have we done top five movie kills? I feel like that could be tremendous.

Crewe

we have not done movie kills.  Ramble on ...

Crewe

With the release of the highly touted Ghost of Tsushima, I was thinking, especially since my gameplay has picked up in quarantine, how consistently great games are now.
I mean, with almost every release, it's the "best ever" or most certainly a GOTY and this wasn't always the case, even in recent years.
So, with that, I thought, lets do a Top 5 PS4 games (or billybox)

For me, it's pretty easy because I don't play all that much.

1) Red Dead Redemption II.
Just a fascinating story in my all time favorite genre. Add to it you get to decide the morale of your character? I'm in.

2) Spiderman
This game was just flat out effin fun. It was also one of the very very few games I tried to achieve 100% (and did I might add)
I enjoyed it so much, I did something else I had never done and that's play the entire story, twice. I did it again with RDR2 as well.

3) Jedi: Fallen Order
As an OG SW nerd, I was all in here and it didnt disappoint. The only gripe I had here was the map was difficult for me and it took way too long for me to escape some areas.

4) LOU2
Recently reviewed and enjoyed.

5) MLB The Show series
When my gaming time declined in the last ten years, this was one of my two or so purchases a year and has remained so today.

Honorable Mention:
GTA V
There just wasn't room and honestly, if it had a better narrative or in depth story about the characters, it might have knocked out LOU2.
I think this was the first game (on PS4) I tried to go 100% and also trophy hunting.

Bonus question:
First game you attained 100%
For me, it was The Warriors. I have hope upon hope it would be updated and reissued on PS4, or PS5 would be even better.
My favorite game, all time.

TheNorm

I'll tackle the video game one in my next post...but first as mentioned in the post before it:

Top 5 Movie Kill Scenes

Kill Bill, vol. 1 - The Bride vs. the Crazy 88s
I always loved the way Tarantino could frame a scene, and this entire fight scene was beautiful: the brief conversation between The Bride and O-ren Ishii, where you think the confrontation would originally take place before the rest of the gang shows up. What follows is some of the best action in a movie in the 2000s. This isn't the only Tarantino scene on my list.
https://youtu.be/ecimuK20dSA

The Godfather - The Baptism, aka Michael settles all family business
Pretty sure I covered this scene in the movie thread, but here it is again. "Michael Francis, do you renounce Satan?"
https://youtu.be/8Pf8BkFLBRw

Pulp Fiction - Ezekiel 25:17
I just love how Samuel L. Jackson commands the room in this scene.
https://youtu.be/Zxel-c5LCGI

John Wick Chapter 3: Parabellum - Knives
If you haven't seen these movies yet, what are you waiting for? There's a bunch I could pull from each film but I'll go with this one.
https://youtu.be/v00zKyXbfD4

The Equalizer - 16 seconds
Denzel does really well in this reboot, and I really enjoyed this.

Oh I wanna play!

Love those choices norm!

If you ask me tomorrow it might be a different five but for now....

To tag along with your Godfather choice, I say rarely is there a beatdown that rivals Sonny at the tollbooth.

And joining in with your Tarantino choice, Jackie Brown

Melanie's death

Saving Private Ryan
Captain Miller

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QnX_mQ9apu8

Bonnie and Clyde
Not accurate but still brutal

Unforgiven
L'il Bill, et al
This was such a great film that finally deconstructed the myth of old West legends and so called gunfighting, not to mention just flat out killing.

Top 5 Movie Kill Scenes

Misery
Although not as satisfying as the death in the book, it was still pretty good.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0-k5OyWSXi0

The cowboys
This one still gets my blood going even after a thousand viewings.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPgssK8oBb8

Reservoir Dogs
Not technically a death scene but hey I bet he wishes he was dead

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ls9eX-VGHko

The Revenant
While technically not a death scene, I mean damn.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GOlVRHsVzE4

Pulp Fiction

There is almost no list I cant fit this movie into.

Top 5 PS4 games

1) LOU2
This game is a masterpiece in my opinion.  The story it tells along with beautiful visuals are unrivaled.

2) Red Dead Redemption II.
Would have been number one but LOU2 came out.  This game is great, the story is a little weak but the gameplay is outstanding.

3) Jedi: Fallen Order
Its Jedi, its Star Wars, and its open-world ish. Enough for me.

4) NBA 2k series
These games are the best simulation of sport in a video game that I have ever experienced.  The addition of historical draft classes put it over the top for me.

5) Destiny
Not everyone's cup of tea but I love this game and continue to poor time into it.

Bonus question:
First game you attained 100%
First game I platnuimed was on ps3 Infamous

Top 5 Movie Kill Scenes

Deep Blue Sea

Nothing like going out on an epic rallying speech.

Casino

I've always, uh, loved, this scene? (I seem to have a thing for interrupted narration).

The Dark Knight

More of a magic trick, really

Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark

The only good Nazi is a dead Nazi

Saving Private Ryan

I saw this movie when it came out in theaters. I was 11. This scene made me feel awful. JUST GO UP THE DAMN STAIRS HE COULD HAVE LIVED

And to continue, although considering my video game buying (and, really, playing) habits, I'm the worst to ask on this:

Top 5 PS4 Games

1) RDR2 - There's just nothing else quite like it.

2) God of War - An incredible 4th entry (on console, at least) for the franchise that I thought was out of ideas. I was wrong.

3) Apex Legends - Kind of a cheat, since it's on every console (and PC), but a fast-paced, character heavy battle royale that's just really fun to play with friends.

4) MLB: The Show - bit more of a "franchise" pick vs a "best game" pick, but, pick a year. Current year, previous year, if you like baseball, and want a baseball video game, The Show never disappoints.

5) Uncharted 4 - Tough not to put the first Last of Us here, but the Uncharted games are definitely more lighthearted and "fun," in terms of atmosphere. Plus, getting to the part where you have Sully and Nate's brother in the jeep and can immediately drive off a cliff and hear their exclamations (Sully's "woah-oah-oah-oah" being the highlight) is a fantastic experience.

Crewe

Great choices here, Misery, the Cowboys, damn I remember that, I was so pissed off too lol, Marvin, always a winner.
Casino, the Dark knight, forgot about those too.
Good stuff.
I think we are all kind of in the same arena on the video game front.

Top 5 PS4 Games

1. Marvel's Spider-Man - This was the best superhero videogame of this generation, and like Crewe said it was just flat out fun. The storyline was well written and the moves you gain as the story progresses are fun to watch...and the further you go, you'll definitely need all of them. Also had one of the most incredible photo modes I've ever seen in a game until a few days ago when Ghost of Tsushima dropped.

2. RDR2 - Rockstar did not disappoint with this prequel, packing this game with so much depth that there's no way anyone could find it all on the first playthrough...or second. Story's incredible too. Probably could've been #1 on my list if not for Spidey.

3. South Park: The Fractured But Whole - This game is basically an extra long episode as an RPG but it was one of the funniest games I'd ever played. Creating a South Park character to interact with the main guys was a blast. Just like the tv show, there's moments where it sees the line you shouldn't cross and leaps right over it and I wouldn't have it any other way.

4. NBA 2K - Bought 19 on a whim since it was on sale for like $3. online, and the MyCareer mode drew me in to the point that I put down RDR2 for awhile. I hadn't played a hoops game in years but this one just played an amazing game of hoops. Picked up 20 the day it came out, and to me it's great too. I wish other sports games would take a look at how 2K does the MyCareer type stuff and Franchise to see how it should be done.

5. Arkham Knight - This Rocksteady game, the third and final entry in their Batman trilogy, was the reason I picked up a PS4. Sure, the Batmobile elements could be annoying but overall this game was as good as Arkham Asylum and Arkham City.

Honorable Mentions
Grand Theft Auto V - Graphics are incredible in this game that carried over from the PS3, and I found the story enjoyable. But damn are they milking it for all it's worth on the online portion stuff (not even a little DLC for the story mode players? Yikes.

Mortal Kombat 11 - Surprisingly deep for a fighting game. Great story, and a lot of different ways to set up challenges.
"But it is not enough for me to stand before you tonight and condemn riots. I tried to squeeze in GTA V as well. Aren't they working on another?
Sad we won't see RDRIII. Wonder if we will ever get another western game?

So, lets do your Top 5 Uniforms any sport, any league

Houston Aeros (70's)
This was when I was first introduced to hockey. My mom would take me to the Summit and we would watch Gordie, Mark and Marty Howe don the Aero colors and go to work. what fun.

Houston Astros Shooting Star (early 70's)
This one was actually the 60's design after the colt 45's. the one used from 70-75 was the same except the colors were inverted with orange lettering.

AFL Houston Oilers
The NFL team did stick with the Columbia blue which is what I like most, but the simplistic Derrick design is spot on for me.

I'll move out of my town now and offer up Dodger blue, or white I mean.
I just love the look this uniform. It just says baseball to me.

I was so energized when I first saw the Michigan Wolverine uniforms. Unlike any other and just cool AF.

Honorable mentions

Oakland Raiders
Growing up in the 70's and 80's with the nasty Raiders was awesome and their uniforms looked the part too.
Although, I was actually partial to the white roadies.

Montreal Canadiens
This kinda reminds me of the Dodgers in that it just says hockey to me. Great color scheme and logo.

I have to be my fanboy self and couldn't resist adding the Orange Astros along with the new (2013) logo.
I hated the Stros uni's from the mid 90's on, so this was a refreshing change.

From the looks of things Rockstar is porting GTA V to the PS5 too...which to be honest I just don't get. They must be making money hand over fist with the online stuff is my only guess. I'd say we'll probably get an RDR III someday, but who knows what their business model is? Didn't really get an original GTA story for the PS4/XBox1 if you think about it.

I'll have to tackle the Top 5 uniforms tomorrow, but I dig it.

that is odd because won't the ps4 version play on the ps5?
I read somewhere there's likely no RDR3 if you just examine the timeline of it as well as GTA and other projects in the works. Even so, could be 15 years.
Tell you what Id love to see...a 1920's era moonshine game which is what my vision of RDR3 would be. Meshing rural shiners with city mob types.
The other is a Civil War era genre based more on the guerrilla warfare aspect, ala Bloody Bill Anderson et al, and the James Gang that evolved from said raiders. I think that could be brutally fun.
Somebody get on it!
