It's no different from what software developers have been doing for years.  Just about every software on the market has rules and stipulation that boil down to thus: You don't actually own the software you bought, you own a license to use the software, and they can revoke that license whenever the hell they want for whatever reason they want.  It's amazing that people are jumping on this for cars, but no one wants to do anything about computer software.

I will disagree, its totally different. Software is a virtual thing. A car is not, its a bunch of metal fiberglass and aluminium with computers in it. Heck the computer you buy or build you can tweak it,.
