This team wasn't supposed to be here, a bit of a rebuilding season with some pretty damn good freshmen coming in next season. John Beilein made it work and now Michigan's two wins away from a national championship. :)  :woot:

Their Final Four opponent? Everybody's Cinderella, the Loyola-Chicago Ramblers. I'm glad they've got the country pulling for them, and I even respect the Sister Jean story. But sorry Cinderella, time for you to go home.

"But it is not enough for me to stand before you tonight and condemn riots. It would be morally irresponsible for me to do that without, at the same time, condemning the contingent, intolerable conditions that exist in our society. These conditions are the things that cause individuals to feel that they have no other alternative than to engage in violent rebellions to get attention. And I must say tonight that a riot is the language of the unheard. And what is it America has failed to hear? It has failed to hear that the plight of the negro poor has worsened over the last twelve or fifteen years. It has failed to hear that the promises of freedom and justice have not been met. And it has failed to hear that large segments of white society are more concerned about tranquility and the status quo than about justice and humanity." - Martin Luther King, Jr

Loyola-Chicago was a tough squad and definitely deserved to be there...had me worried when they had the Wolverines down 10 in the second half, but thankfully Michigan found another gear and got the shots to finally start dropping while staying strong on defense.

Villanova's going to be a tough out, they've been a top team pretty much all season long and have a 1 seed for a reason...but they aren't unbeatable. Fingers crossed.

One thing I have noticed. Villanova gets away with being "physical" more than other teams.  But man can they shoot.

Sorry norm, helluva run though

rollntider

Yeah Norm was hoping you guys pull it out, but not to shabby of a year all in all.

TheNorm

Thanks fellas. No shame in losing to that team though, they were good and Jay Wright's a great coach. Not the way I wanted it to end, but at the same time this team did things absolutely no one expected them to. Unbelievably proud of this team and coach Beilein, and have no doubt they'll be back sooner rather than later. :)

Beginning to think that not only is Golden State the best team of this era, they may very well be one of the best teams ever. Rockets could host this entire West final in Houston and they still wouldn't pull out this series.

Rockets bench failed them miserably and the turnovers didn't help. GSW are indeed a force but I honestly think the Rockets can hang, but, the Warriors could have an off night in some aspects and win, the Rockets have to be on all cylinders to win. they can do it though...I hope they do, its been a while since 94
