Bama moves to D1 ACHA league. There is talk if they continue to grow in popularity they may go D1 NCAA.... Norm how many different divisions are there?

Best answer I can give you right now is that there are 59 men's hockey teams in NCAA Division 1 spread across six conferences with one independent (Arizona State) slated to bump up to Division 1 next season.
