Watched the first Deadpool but neither Spider Man.

If you like campy, quirky fun, kind of like The Good Place, I can't recommend Netflix's Santa Clarita Diet enough. Olyphant and Drew Barrymore are both great and the kid from the new Vacation movie is actually hilarious. Fiance and I loved it, can't wait for season three.

Might just have to give it a go...

I guess I could look it up, but Ill just ask, whats the order I should watch the MU films?
Ive seen a couple, the last being Civil War I think, Iron Man v Captain America. Any that I can skip? I know theres a shitload of them and don't think I need to see every single one, do I?

So for my easy fun watch I just blew though The Good Place. Ted Danson was fantastic, Kristen Bell, meh, coulda found someone better I think.
Plowing through Justified and while I like it and especially Timothy Olyphant, its deep in spots but still too much typical tv standard writing.

Looking for another series, lest I dive back in to the Sopranos or Deadwood since I finished the Wire again not long ago.

Considering the Crown, but what else is out there thats worth a damn?

Im going to take this a different direction than the article probably intended, but in my spiraling mind, its relevant.
I see that as one part of a bigger problem, a contributory factor if you will.
Sure, the anonymity is another element of the vitriolic rage we see, but as a society, we have been whittled down to where we are because of lack of education and the demise of the modern family.
Add in the negatives the internet breeds and, well, you get today.
I truly believe society has disintegrated significantly in my lifetime, hell, just in the last 20-30 years. It didnt happen overnight of course. Before the internet these people you would call trolls today were around, its not a new thing, they just didnt have the avenue they do now.
People will always and forever seek a way to get over on others, regardless if its something as simple as the subject in the story posted above, or if it were more sinister, it was always present. The internet just breeds those opportunities.
I touched on education and family structure earlier and of course there's no way to quantify this supposition nor is it even logical to suggest we wouldn't be facing the same instances pointed out, but I believe that it all wouldn't have unraveled as badly as it has had our society been properly educated and the divorce rate would have stayed in the stratosphere lessening single parents and all that entails.
Now, do note that this is a vast generalization and not a knock on single parents per se but I don't think anyone could logically deny those two factors haven't also contributed to our lack of mores nowadays.
I realize I kinda turned that into my own thing, but I was building off of the idea the article presented.
Or maybe I just needed to rant? Who the hell knows...but I do know I need sleep, so, sayonara

NY's in a bit of a rut without Judge, although having Gray out of the rotation may offset that, haha.

And I still don't trust Cleveland's bullpen. I think the Stros are safe. Although that Osuna BS is still BS.

you sure about that?  :(

Ive been off of FB for years and Twitter was much more reasonable and fun. However, it has become much more toxic lately.
I love it for just the things you mention and in addition, guys like Steve Martin and John Cleese just make it entertaining.
I still find more reputable news via Twitter than I ever did via FB, plus sports beat writers provide solid info as well.
So I don't see myself deleting Twitter soon because its just more manageable than FB was for me.

So this weekend, tried the copy cat James Coney Island chili recipe, as I love making chili.

https://copykat.com/2009/03/29/james-coney-island-chili/

Some real questions with this one though. Ive only made this once and it came out pretty close to the real thing.
However, this calls for way too much liquid IMO and I scrapped the tomatoes completely.
So, I went with the broth, no water and I used Trader Joes tomato sauce instead of tomatoes and going trough that needless painstaking process.
I also use, but didn't today, El pato tomato sauce as my go to's for chili.
The other thing omitted here is the thickening agent. Now, you can let it just sit longer and it will thicken on its own. Sometimes, as I did here, Ill use Masa harina mixed with water to form a slurry which you can add as a thickener. Or, if you want to go the true JCI method, crumble into dust 5 saltine crackers, but you do want it very fine if you go this route.
In any event, you want a really quick, good chili that outshines that crapola at the store, follow this method.
oh and also, I used carne picada, the hell with wasting your day shaving a chuck steak unless you are going to make really really good chili.

Tomb Raider (2018)

First things first, this was a better film than the Jolie version IMO.
That said, this was still an average movie. Alicia Vikander (Ex Machina) was quite good as Lara and handled the action well. She was believable as the young Croft but the story let her down as did some of the special effects.
It started out on a high note, but it just sloped downhill from then on with a few saving grace scenes peppered in here and there.
Despite some tense moments, albeit cliche ones, the movie just left me sorta meh. I didn't hate it, but Vikander was the best thing about it, although McNulty brought some weight to it as well.

3/5

Today I shall go with..........well, lets be honest:

WR Wayne Chrebet.

He'll never make the Hall of Fame, but I wouldn't replace him with anyone for all those years he was with the Jets.

good call.
Ill go with Brian Westbrook. What a pain in the ass he was for the Cowboys every time they played the Eagles
