Chit Chat / Name your top 5 Halloween movies
October 12, 2017, 08:44:41 PM
By Halloween movies I mean something that you like to watch around this time, maybe it scares ya, not necessarily the Halloween movie franchise (although your favorites might draw from the franchise!).

My own personal top 5:
5. Lake Mungo (Found footage)
Lake Mungo is a faux documentary about a girl who dies in a freak accident, and through found footage they put together pieces of her life that reveal so much more about her.  It subverts the usual tropes and themes of found footage, which is nice, and the movie doesn't just look like a cheesy blair witch.
4. Bubba Hotep
Bubba Hotep is about a man who claims to be Elvis Presley living in an old folks home, who claims that he's the real Elvis and the one who died was an impersonator who he gave his life away to.  Living in an old folks home, he notices that folks around the home are dying much more frequently than they should, and with the help of his friend John F Kennedy Jr he decides to investigate.
3. The Evil Dead
The Evil Dead is the movie that launched Bruce Campbell and Sam Raimi's careers, their take on Friday the 13th and other slasher movies.  When Ashly "Ash" Johnston and his sister go up to a cabin in the woods with their friends they are excited for a weekend of partying.  Not if the Necronomicon has anything to say about it!
2. As Above, So Below (Found footage)
A woman seeking answers to her father's death and seeking out the prize of his life, the Philosopher's Stone decides to investigate some leads that bring her to Paris, France.  With a group of urban explorers and some denizens living under the streets of the city they delve deeper into the labyrinthine maze beneath the streets of Paris, a world so strange that it seems like something out of the bible itself.
1. The Tunnel (Found footage)
An Australian reporter whose career is in jeopardy after a screw up she made last time decides that she needs to redeem herself, while looking into a problem surrounding the water reservoirs under the city of Sydney.  With a small crew she wanders into the sewers under the city, but after the group decides to tinker with a war-time gong in an underground bunker things go awry, and now they need to find their way out .. but they might not be alone!

I don't know if people would consider Evil Dead or Bubba Hotep "scary," but Bruce Campbell is one of my favorite actors, and I love the campy movies that he tends to be part of.  ;D

So there's been some stuff doing the rounds on the internet, oh no, Marc Laidlaw the writer for Half-Life has released a letter, and he just revealed how Half-Life Episode Game or Edition #3 would have gone from start .. to finish.

https://pastebin.com/q9DMFa7c is the pastebin of the the 'letter.'

Now Marc Laidlaw has specifically stated that he didn't write this in any official capacity, that he had no intention for this to be interpreted as the canon story for Half-Life 3 Episode 3 or whatever (I'm just gonna say "TFG3" and you can figure out what TFG stands for).  He's stated that he's just releasing this as fanfiction at best, and that it should be treated as such.  But for whatever reason, people see something about TFG3 and they're like "OH MY GOD, HALF-LIFE STUFF, WE NOW FINALLY KNOW!!!" and then people get bent out of shape because it ends once again in the same way that other HL games end (which was the entire intention of a franchise where time and space don't fold the way they do in the real universe).

I read it, I thought it was some interesting ideas, I would have probably liked it if this is how TFG3 went.  But the fact of the matter is, all of the writing talent left Valve in 2013.  All of the people who worked on HL1 and HL2 don't work at Valve anymore either, except for Gabe Newell who doesn't so much work there, as he shows up and plays video games all day and pays himself a huge salary because he knew better than to make his company a publicly traded company.  I ain't gonna hate on the guy for that, because I'm pretty sure anyone who had the option would also go for that kind of a sweet setup.

What's more disappointing, I think, is just how people are taking this as the gospel of god, when we all know that video games change a drastic amount from start to completion.  Some great examples are Doom, Quake, Half-Life 1 .. there were all kinds of ideas surrounding these games (which are aptly called "ground-breaking" games).  The original concept for Doom was a survival horror game with a 4-man squad of Space Marines trying to save their friend Buddy Dcote (whose name means "Dies at conclusion of the episode").  The original concept for Quake was what Daikatana tried to be, you were meant to be a special warrior who could travel through slipgates in time and space and do levels in a non-linear fashion to collect futuristic or ancient weaponry to tackle the other levels, collect powerups and keys from one world to help in another, etc.  It KIND OF still exists in Quake, you can do the four worlds in any order you choose.  But the back and forth concept was killed early.  And we saw how it turned Daikatana into such a mess of a game, trying to do too much all at once.  Half-Life went through several restarts to get to completion.

What made these games great wasn't stringent adherence to some grand master idea (cause that's what killed Daikatana), it was that the games evolved as things became apparently too difficult to do (or too easy).  Marc Laidlaw released a concept for what he envisioned COULD have been the story for TFG3, but it's not an official script/story concept.  They weren't shopping it to be the next game.  And I think that people need a little bit of objectivity to recognize that while this was an idea .. it's not TFG3.  It's just an idea.

Anyway, just some thoughts on the matter, and figured I'd mention it, though I'm sure you've all heard of the "leaks" by now anyway.

Tech Talk / To hell with MSI
July 23, 2017, 01:11:53 AM
To preface, this is based on me using MSI motherboards for the better part of a decade now.  I'm biased against their motherboards from having a piss poor experience more than once.  So recently my CPU died.  I don't know why, I don't even feel like diagnosing it this time, although I guess at some point I will find out if the CPU itself is fried.  Not today.  So having used AMD almost exclusively since 1998/1999 (due to cost factor, not fan factor) I chose to build an Intel unit to replace my gaming computer this go around.  I have had this computer for somewhere between 3 and 5 years now, and it's certainly not the worst computer I've ever had (quite the opposite, I've never had a better computer before), but back to my problem with MSI...

When I first built the computer, my motherboard was dead on arrival.  The motherboard would not boot.  With no other option (or so I felt at the time, nowadays my options are much better), I sunk the RMA and returned the motherboard for a replacement.  Strike 1.  So got the replacement, I had my motherboard working acceptably well mostly, but some issues with locking up with no discernible cause, I eventually resolved the issue by changing the timing on my RAM...  Not sure why that would fix it, but it did.  Whatever.

So fast forward some period of time, and in early 2015 my motherboard ended up dead.  This time the cause was MSI's own fault.  They have an autoupdater tool that looks for software/BIOS updates and installs them.  Yeah, BIOS updates.  The installer tried to install a BIOS update on a flasher program from Windows, even though MSI says on their website "don't use this thing, it will probably break your motherboard."  Yeah, it happened.  So I had to replace the motherboard, this time at my own expense .. and like a moron, I bought the same motherboard because I thought "better not muck around with my configuration!"  Strike 2 for MSI, because this was their own fault in the first place.

So I've had problems with my motherboard since replacing, but I just kind of left it because I hate removing the CPU from a motherboard unless I need to.  For one the motherboard detects 16gb of RAM, but only 12gb are usable.  Tried to resolve that with every step-by-step guide on the web it felt like, never got it fixed.  Tried reflashing the BIOS to see if that'd help, 16gb (11.98 usable) .. yeah.  Also my CPU was overclocked, from 3.5GHz to 4GHz, a moderate overclock which saw some yields but for the most part I was doing that to make up for the fact that I bought the wrong CPU.  Well, alright then.

So when restarting the computer, for some reason the BIOS doesn't understand exit codes from Windows 10 and would figure "hey, the system must have crashed, this overclocking configuration is bad!" and would make me load the BIOS.  So I would literally do nothing, and restart the computer.  Because there's nothing wrong with my overclocking configuration.  At this point I had become irritated, and it was basically strike 3.  But I lived with it for the longest friggin time.

And I kept looking at the prospect of building a replacement system, but I didn't want to just get rid of the system at the same time.  Everything seemed well enough if I ignored these glaring issues, but then the other night I went to restart my computer .. and the screens went white after shutting down .. and never turned back on again.  I tried letting it sit, tried adjusting things, nothing.  The system's components all power on, so the motherboard seems to be alright (I think), but the CPU does not POST.  Could still be the motherboard's fault, but either way...

If you're looking for a good motherboard, I suggest you steer clear of MSI.  My new motherboard is an ASRock, I've never heard anything negative about ASRock, but seen plenty of threads of stories not unlike my own when it comes to MSI while trying to fix my issues.  There's no reason you should be looking to pick up this particular unit anyway, but the board in question was the MSI 970 Gaming, which was one of the old DDR3 boards.

So yeah to hell with MSI, as the thread subject says, if I can avoid ever buying their stuff ever again, I shall.

In the grim dark future of the Imperium, in the year 40,000 AD (or somewhere thereabouts) ..  Long story short, gene stealers!  So for anyone not familiar with what Space Hulk is, Space Hulk originated as a 2-player board game back in 1989, with one player playing the Space Marines chapter of the Dark Angels known as the "Deathwing" (the first company of the Dark Angels), who are well known for their Terminator armor.  The second player would then take on the role of the Tyranid Genestealers, a Mi-Go inspired evolution of the Tyranid species who are much-feared for their ability to infiltrate and absorb the traits of their victims (thus the name "Genestealer").  Later there would be an MS-DOS adaptation of the game, known simply as Space Hulk in 1993, and then a few other adaptations as the years went on.  Snap forward to 2013 and the game was announced with intentions of launching on the PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One.  After 3 years of development, the game is slated to launch within the next 30 days (the Steam store specifies November 24th).  If you preorder now, you can get a 15% discount and the preorder exclusive weapon on Steam.  Not sure if there's any kind of preorder stuff for the PS4.

I've been waiting patiently on this one, and it's finally almost here!  I'm trying to decide if I want to main an Assault Specialist, Heavy Weapons Specialist or Librarian.  Check it out, it looks like it's going to be AWESOME.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau seeks federal ban on anti-transgender speech
QuotePrime Minister Justin Trudeau has announced federal legislation that would expand hate speech laws to include gender identity and gender expression.

If passed, the legislation would also make it illegal to prevent an individual from getting a job or to discriminate in the workplace on the basis of gender identity or gender expression.

Mr. Trudeau, the leader of Canada's Liberal Party, introduced the bill Tuesday marking the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia. He said the proposed law would "help ensure transgender and other gender-diverse people can live according to their gender identity, free from discrimination, and protected from hate propaganda and hate crimes."

"Everyone deserves to live free of stigma, persecution and discrimination — no matter who they are or whom they love," Mr. Trudeau said.

"This enactment amends the Canadian Human Rights Act to add gender identity and gender expression to the list of prohibited grounds of discrimination," a summary of the bill reads, The Blaze reported. "The enactment also amends the Criminal Code to extend the protection against hate propaganda set out in that Act to any section of the public that is distinguished by gender identity or expression and to clearly set out that evidence that an offense was motivated by bias, prejudice or hate based on gender identity or expression constitutes an aggravating circumstance that a court must take into consideration when it imposes a sentence."

Similar legislation has previously failed to pass Parliament several times.

Mr. Trudeau's government has the majority of seats in the House of Commons so his legislation will likely pass there. After that, it will go to the unelected Senate, NBC News reported.

You know, there's nothing worse than giving absolute power to a fascist and then watching what he'll do.  Because he'll make sure that you regret it.  Less than 1% of the population, but we better damn well institute anti-Free speech laws to protect individuals who are too weak to handle someone of a differing opinion.  Between backing the TPP and now this, Trudeau is really showing how horrible a leader he truly is.  Everyone always said he'd be such a great leader with a legacy like his father's, and yet, here we are with something far more damaging to society than affirmative action.

With this kind of thing it'd be hard for a business to reject a transgender individual from a job even on the grounds that they don't qualify at all, because it's too easy to claim you were "discriminated against."  And it isn't like it isn't a common occurrence for the special snowflakes to apply for jobs that they're woefully unqualified for and then when they don't get it, whine to their friends that they were discriminated against.  You know what never gets social acceptance is making something a prohibited action to talk about.  It creates a notion and a precedent that these people play by different rules and reduces them to the level of a child that they need big daddy government to step in and enforce an iron fist over offences that probably don't exist.

What's next?  A federal ban on anti-pedophile speech?  You can't discriminate against sex offenders!!

Video Gaming General / Hideo Kojima launches a new studio
December 16, 2015, 09:17:27 AM
After an ominous message was left at the end of the Silent Hills playable teaser (aka P.T.) Konami had a melt down and destroyed every reference to Kojima that they could, including removing his name from the games to which he'd created (namely Metal Gear Solid 5 and The Phantom Pain).  The message seemed like it was more than just a random blurb in the teaser, but some people ignored it as just atmospheric noise in the background.

QuoteDad was such a drag. Every day he'd eat the same kind of food, dress the same, sit in front of the same kind of games... Yeah, he was just that kind of guy. But then one day, he goes and kills us all! He couldn't even be original about the way he did it. I'm not complaining... I was dying of boredom anyway, But guess what? I will be coming back, and I'm bringing my new toys with me.

When the Konami move went down some people (including myself) came to the conclusion that the message was from Kojima to people who wanted to see Silent Hills and PT telling them not to worry, that the legendary Kojima wasn't done yet.  Lo and behold, we fast forward to a recent video released by SOE and Kojima.  A partnership between "Playstation" and Kojima leads to a new studio.  Can't wait to see what's in store.  Obviously he can't work on anything titled Metal Gear or Silent Hill(s) so whatever he's going to come up with will be something new (or a continuation to an IP that Sony themselves owns).

Chit Chat / "Rowdy" Roddy Piper dead at 61
August 01, 2015, 02:56:49 AM
Died on the 30th, found on the 31st...  The Rowdy Roddy Piper of WWE Fame and infamous for the oft quoted Duke Nukem line "I've come here to kick ass and chew bubble gum...  and I'm all out of gum."   Decades of being an Entertainer both in the squared circle as a wrestler, and as an actor, father of 4, grandfather of 4...

In honor of his death, I decided to stream They Live tonight, turn out was awful, but that's alright I suppose.  Here's a Youtube embed for anyone interested.

Video Gaming General / Summer Games Done Quick
July 27, 2015, 02:00:35 PM
I can't believe I forgot to mention this.  Right now a speed running marathon called "summer games done quick" is in effect, it runs from Sunday (yesterday) until Saturday.

https://gamesdonequick.com/ for more information.

If you have some weird hangup about people playing games in a way not originally intended (as there are people who do have an issue with it), then you can simply ignore it.  But otherwise go check out SGDQ.  They're raising money for Doctors Without Borders which is a charity that helps to get doctors out into frontier medicine to help people in less developed countries who don't enjoy the same benefits of medicine that we do.

No donation required, though if you donate, they'll read your donation comment on the stream (personally, I never understood people who donate $50 just to have a crappy meme read for the internet to hear out loud, but hey, whatever you wanna do with your own money, right?).

PC Gaming / Humble Game Making Bundle
July 14, 2015, 11:45:44 AM
Right now the Humble Bundle site is hosting the "Humble Game Making Bundle," which features a copy of RPG Maker VX Ace, GameGuru, a 1 year license to Stencyl, Spriter, Sprite Lamp, App Game Kit 2, and 90% off coupons for RPG Maker 2000/XP/2003.  The full package deal will run you roughly $25 Canadian for the whole package including the RPG Maker versions you get coupons for (I bought everything in the bundle, basically).  I used a prepaid VISA card worth $25 CDN and was left over with something like $0.19.

I bought it for the nostalgic value alone, myself, cause I remember playing around with the RPG Maker series back when I was a younger person, and I absolutely enjoy playing around with them.  VX Ace alone is $70 and another $30 for the Luna Engine (which is included in the bundle).  I'm going to try and concentrate long enough to make something, but have been distracted of late with other matters (such as my a1c).

So if you've got interest in making games, or you've got kids who might be interested in making games, then consider plunking down a little bit of cash.

PC Gaming / The Steam Sale Thread
June 13, 2015, 05:29:01 PM
Unfortunately this year I got caught off guard, as my CPU/mobo had drained all my money.  So I'm currently watching the Steam sale, and hating the fact that I ain't got the money to afford some of the deals.  But it started as of two days ago, and as usual, has a Steam game of some type.  This year's summer sale game is "The Monster Game" which is based on the same concept as Cookie Clicker or Clicker Heroes.  You don't have to actually play the game perse, but if you join a game, then it'll generate cards for you, you'll get a card for joining a new game each day (the games reset at 9am every day), and you'll sometimes get a card every few hours.

And Rockstar is getting some much needed flack for pulling something shady, as GTA V is currently listed as on sale at 25% off...  Yet pricing in at nearly $70.  The problem stems from the fact that they're selling a great white shark card bundle for 25% off, that sells for the same price as GTA V, but GTA V by itself has no discount, but shows on the main page as being "25% off" for $1 less than normal because the regular price is $30 more...

Considering we've seen bundles and games on the main page show their respective prices, it's fairly obvious that Rockstar has done this intentionally, so a lot of people are pretty disgusted.

PC Gaming / Your PC
May 31, 2015, 03:54:11 AM
Thread about PCs, go as in-depth as you like I guess.

So I built my PC back in 2011, using the cheapest quad core I could find with 8gb of RAM, and a GeForce 500 series GPU.  This is the piece of crap I've used for the last 4 years (which I had to build on a budget of less than $600 including shipping and taxes):
-AMD Phenom (how do I always end up with Phenom powering my PC?  He gets around) II 955 Black Edition 3.2GHz Quadcore
-8gb Corsair 1333MHz dual channel DDR3 RAM (currently downclocked cause this motherboard is crap)
-Zotac GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1GB
-Western Digital 1TB green drive
-Crap MSI motherboard that I had to RMA twice, only does 8gb of RAM, socket AM3, 1 PCI-E 16 slot, SATA II, DDR3, software audio

Recently I've begun upgrading my PC, not entirely by choice.  A few months ago my PC began locking up and even giving me blue and black screens of death; I eventually found out, the reason for this was because my hard drive was failing.  So $200 later, I now have a SSD and an HDD (this time, I did not get a stupid friggin green drive, don't ever do this, not even for storage).  Windows boots super fast now, though it's only a 128gb so I can't store a huge game like GTA V on it.  I might buy another SSD later on just for video game installs.

Then my friend bought me a copy of GTA 5 to play with our friends because I said I didn't want to spend $60 on GTA 5.  Apparently he's bought at least 3 copies for friends (a fool and his money, as they say, but I guess he makes good money cause it's nothing to him).  Anyway, the game's been laggy and crashes at times, so I initially thought maybe it was a GPU issue, but as it turns out, the game is a very CPU heavy game.  Seems that when Rockstar was porting the game to PC, they didn't rewrite the way that the game handles graphics and workload to work more like traditional PC games, so it still runs like a console game, thus a lot of particle and graphics effects and assets are done on CPU.  My CPU is actually better than what they ask for in the requirements, but it's just not working out.

So lo and behold on Thursday I went onto http://www.logicalincrements.com/, looked up the best possible AMD CPU and motherboard on the list (which is still $150 cheaper than the lowest range i5 on the list).  When I went over benchmark comparisons, it outperforms most i5s in threaded applications anyway, but as usual, trails behind Intel on single-threaded applications.  Of course it's not as good as decent i5s or any i7s, but the cost is just a bit too much, so I stuck with AMD this time around, maybe next time.  Considering that all games are now multithreaded, I figure, whatever that's fine.

So my new PC (I'll be upgrading some more in the future, but yeah, have to upgrade gradually, don't want to go into debt) when I get the stuff on Monday:
-MSI 970 GAMING motherboard (which apparently has a Soundblaster audio card built into it)
-Crucial MX100 128gb SSD SATA III
-Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003 1TB SATA III
-AMD FX-8320 Octa-Core (8 Cores) 3.5GHz (Turbo 4GHz)
-Corsair 1333MHz DDR3 8GB
-Zotac GeForce GTX 550 Ti
-500 Watt Coolmaster PSU
-Windows 8.1 x64 Professional

I think I might just do a fresh install for the new CPU/motherboard, and replace Windows 8 with Windows 7 Ultimate

So the obvious upgrades that I'm looking at right now are a new GPU (probably gonna go with a GeForce 960, and then later buy a second 960 for SLI), and a new power supply (a four year old power supply that is 500 Watt for a system with a GPU that requires 400 Watts for the GPU; definitely need to rectify this before anything else).  Might have to replace the HSF, possibly replace the case itself, and then there's the stuff for the outside of the PC (could use new speakers, new keyboard/mouse, etc).  I've been broke for nearly a decade, so actually having extra money coming in that I can use, it's nice to have the freedom to be able to buy nice things for a change.

EDIT: I forgot to mention, that I pretty much need to upgrade my PSU to accommodate a second video card, and that's the main reason to upgrade it.  As is, I can only sustain 1 GPU, but if I wanted to get SLI going, I'm going to need at least double the wattage.

What kind of PCs do you PC gamers out there have?

Ed Helms has never done anything I found funny, least of all his roles in the Daily Show and Harold & Kumar, so to hear that he wants to replace Leslie Nielsen seems absolutely ridiculous.  What's next, Stephen Colbert to star in an Airplane remake?

PC Gaming / Defective upon purchase
November 26, 2014, 08:47:02 AM
So this thread is to warn other users about bad PC gaming components that are, as the title suggests, defective upon purchase.  Defective doesn't necessarily mean they don't work at all, just that they work very poorly.  This thread is to be considered a humble warning from your fellow users to dissuade them from buying a piece of crap that you yourself bought.

If you returned the product, then good, at least your money didn't go to waste on it (unless they charged you a restocking fee).

Today's product: Logitech MKXXX Series

So the product I have to report is the Logitech MK series of wireless keyboard/mouse combo packs.  I bought an MK320 a couple of years ago, thinking that I'd absolutely enjoy my new wireless keyboard (as previous keyboards I'd bought died of having their cables pulled out, and I still don't know why that occured).  But let me tell you why I haven't enjoyed it all that much.  The thing is a piece of crap that is prone to constant bouts of lag.  It locks up at all kinds of inopportune moments and with no rhyme or reason to do so, other than maybe because it overheats or it loses connection?  And if it's overheating, then what kind of shoddy fabrication is that?

Sometimes it will lock up and stop sending input altogether, and then other times, it will buffer the input and wait until it regains a connection to its dongle (cause for some reason it loses that connection) and then blast all that input in...  This sounds like it would be kind of okay if it didn't get most of the information in the buffer wrong in the first place, so you end up with strings of words that look like you're dyslexic or retarded, but really it's the keyboard taking a crap all over itself (and you, as the user).

I decided to look it up, and I'm not the only one with the issue.  Then I looked further, and it's not unique to the MK320, it seems to affect a bunch of products in the MK series.  So if you plan to buy a wireless keyboard (which I no longer plan to do ever), make sure that what you get is not an MK series product.

Thankfully I have an old Zboard that I bought for my father like 10 years ago (that he didn't accept because of the gaming layout on the left hand side).  It really is one of the best keyboard brands you can get for the price of $60 for gaming, the only issue with this particular ZBoard is that it has a fixed key layout which isn't skinnable.

C'est la vie.

PC Gaming / Goat Simulator
November 17, 2014, 11:02:00 PM
So we've mentioned Goat Simulator in the past, and I mentioned how it plays, and the such, and there was a statement where I said:
Quote from: Sakura on August 24, 2014, 03:40:14 AM
no one's gonna put 1200 hours into the game like they do with say TF2 or CSGO
Well...  I take back what I said, because...  Yeah...  Coffee Stain studios, the team that created the Goat Simulator game have listened to fan feedback, and got it in their head...  "Why don't we make this into something more?"

Released just today is a new trailer for the upcoming patch to the game, with the patch being titled "Goat MMO Simulator."  Yes, that is correct, Goat Simulator is not only going to get updated with an objective, it's going to look like...  this...

That's right, Goat Simulator (or World of GoatCraft if you want) is going MMO with 5 classes, Warrior, Rogue, Magician, Hunter, and Microwave.  According to Coffee Stain, Goat MMO Simulator has different classes, quests, faction warfare with the sheep, and "even elves and dwarves like in that movie."  You know which movie they mean, right?  I assume they mean Dungeons & Dragons the much maligned 2001 movie debacle ;D.

So there you have it, I am eating my friggin words, this is downright strange, and yeah...  There you go Ben, now you can challenge playing 1200 hours in Goat Simulator.

PC Gaming / Free copy of The Witcher 2: Extended Edition
November 15, 2014, 06:43:33 AM
I guess I didn't really think about posting it til now, but http://www.gog.com/ (Good Old Games) they're currently doing a sale from now until the 24th/25th.  Every day during the sale you can get yourself a stamp for the giveaway, and when you receive your 7th stamp you will receive a complimentary copy of The Witcher 2: Extended Edition as well as The Gamers: Director's Cut (which is a movie).

I bought The Gamers like 9 years ago on DVD, and I rather thoroughly enjoyed it, though I do warn you, the movie is very amateur and very camp.  You can also view the movie if you go on Youtube, as the Dead Gentlemen and Zombie Orpheus people (makers of Journey Quest) have already uploaded it and its sequel "The Gamers 2: Dorkness Rising."  So yeah, there's that.  Anyway, yeah, if you want to get a free game -- here ya go.  Merry Christmas or whatever.

Edit: Oh I forgot to mention, no purchase required.  All you have to do is sign up (or sign in if you already have an account) and click the + sign every day for 7 days.
