I knew about the Ticket to Ride app and heard the game was incredible there so I may finally bite the bullet and get it. But there were some other ones here that caught my interest as well. Any of you familiar with these?
"But it is not enough for me to stand before you tonight and condemn riots. It would be morally irresponsible for me to do that without, at the same time, condemning the contingent, intolerable conditions that exist in our society. These conditions are the things that cause individuals to feel that they have no other alternative than to engage in violent rebellions to get attention. And I must say tonight that a riot is the language of the unheard. And what is it America has failed to hear? It has failed to hear that the plight of the negro poor has worsened over the last twelve or fifteen years. It has failed to hear that the promises of freedom and justice have not been met. And it has failed to hear that large segments of white society are more concerned about tranquility and the status quo than about justice and humanity." - Martin Luther King, Jr

Ticket to Ride & Carcassonne I've played, but only about once or twice. Both are kinda fun.

Lords of Waterdeep though is one that gets played regularly when we gather for a game night, it's rather fun. Dose have a bit of a learning curve to it though, but if you've played other strategy games then its easy to pick catch on.

I've only have played the actual board games of these so I can't say how the apps will be. But if they are true to the original then they should be alright.
If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense.
Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't.
And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would.

If you have not tried Betrayal at House on the Hill  it is a blast.  Me and my daughters love to play it.

Agreed, its just that betrayal part that gets ya LOL... btw they are doing a legacy version. I may get that one.
Also have you played the expansion?

No just the standard version. We have bought the expansion but never opened it lol

I enjoyed Ticket to ride and thought I would not.

I played Twilight Imperium 4, Zombicide Black Plague and Massive Darkness this past weekend.

Twilight Imperium is like a masters degree in board gaming, complicated, tedious but fun. Think civ 5 or something like that.

Zombicide is just great fun and Massive Darkness was great also. Havent gamed in some time so it was great to do that

Can't say I've played it yet, but got this guy from Amazon. It was on sale for $12, per Gizmodo, although I saw the article too late and it had jumped higher. Still though, considering it's mainly my fiance and I, this seems like it'll be a fun 2 player game for us that's not too quick to play.
