Glad to know norm, I was hoping I wasn't the only one. You know I go overboard in my descriptions, but I really felt like they were very obvious in their tilt towards Rodgers and GB.
I like Sherman actually. When he got all the press initially, I fell victim to ignorance and believed the media, but when I actually read about him, he doesn't bother me. I appreciate his ability.
Now Tom Brady. I throw digs at him every chance I get because I think he deserves it. he's protected and he knows it, he complains and calls for flags and gets them, I know others do too, but not on his level.
That said, I marvel at how that lanky twig who looks like he would break in half consistently makes defenses look bad.  SUre he's got a great mind behind him but he still has to decipher everything and do it and thats why a lot of folks hate him even more. We hate it when perceived whiners win.
I always liked Luck. Another of the young good guys ala Russell.  I didn't think Indy was SB bound this year but they are getting there, much to the dismay of me and my Texans.
Carroll...yea, just can't....I just can't. lol Im with ya norm.
I agree with you on Bellicheat too and now he's got deflated footballs to worry about apparently lol

Lynch reminds me so much of Marion Barber but with more agility and yea norm, if they don't stop him, could be a long day.
I hope for a good game too, but like I said at the beginning of the year, Im less invested as time goes on because if they don't gain respect for the rules of this game and the horrible positions they put the refs in, as well as the fans, Ill continue to fade.  I think thats even more evident after this season and thats with my team going 12-4

yea, it was bad. They kept throwing out numbers, Seattle allowed this and that and had the ball only this amount of time and ran limited plays, GB is destroying Seattle blah blah blah. It was truly amazing to me.
Btw, I saw an article where many Seattle fans left and then weren't allowed back in and their was a photo of them all at the gate with their noses against the door lol
thats great stuff

G/L in the SB.  Im having to root for Seattle because I don't want the golden boy to have another.
And not that you care, but don't take my words as digs on Seattle because I like a lot of the players and I really like Wislon, he will be a great ambassador for the game for a while, but it's just Carroll I don't like and it from his USC days and beyond and I can't let it go lol

I'm sure SMU would have appreciated similar leniency since their program was decimated to a degree to which they still haven't recovered.

thats awesome dude, congrats.

As for the game, the Packers played scared all day, wimpy play calling, avoiding their strengths, relying on a weak D, relying on the Seahawks offense to continue to suck, they just gave up, early.
Sad thing is, they will blame it all on the guy that missed the onside kick. Sure, he would've had it, but the MVP can't gain less than half a yard for a TD? Blows 2 1st and goal opportunities to come away with FG's? Runs the ball 3 times for negative yardage to give the ball back with a horrendous amount of time? Gets duped on a fake FG when the entire world knew it was coming?
Give up over 25 on a 3rd and 19 when you had 8 men deep??? How many times did they start IN Sea territory? How many times did they start deep in Sea territory? How many turnovers did they get only to give it right back with no points? The list goes on and on.
When you dominate in TOP and yards for the entire game but only lead by two scores, you aren't dominating. They relaxed and got steamrolled.
So blame the on sides kick guy, its easy to do, but me, I blame the coach, Rodgers, the receivers, the D and special teams

Also, I need opinions on whether Im the only one on this but were Aikman and Buck just in plain asskissing mode? Saying Seattle D was getting thwarted and tossed around and beat down like rag dolls and the Packers are god, tell me Im not the only one that thought they were crazy. And this was the entire game, yes, especially the first half. Take the yards gained and throw them out, Seattle D won that game.
Two first and goal drives with two FG's = win. Pick in the end zone = win. Picked of the MVP another time = win. "Dominated" the enite first half; as in ran only 12 offensive plays until their final drive of the half (sans two play kneel down) = win. Down 16-0 = major freakin win!!!
I just didn't get what they were watching. Every word was a ding at Seattle when it was really GB who was horrid. And keep in mind, I was for the Pack, so there's that.
It was an exciting game for sure, but you would expect an MVP, who by the definition of these idiotic sportswriters, can do anything regardless of the team around him, to play a lot better than he did, or his team for that matter.
I guess I just hate announcers who sleep through games, which is most if not all of them pretty much.

Im not talking about using any external devices, I have zero desire for that, Im just talking about within game clips that are saved and shared

I thought Ohio State shot themselves in the foot so many times, and I declared them losers after each turnover but they just kept on dominating.
Unbelievable.
Now that its all played out, obviously its justified that Ohio jumped Baylor and TCU, so I think the CFP was/is a success.
I think everyone agrees FSU shouldnt have been in, but undefeated is undefeated.
Makes me think back a couple of years ago when the Cougars were undefeated, if that had been them in a playoff, man, they wouldve been destroyed.
So now, is Mariota a genuine NFL prospect or is he a Tebow waiting to happen?

So in between mission runs, I find that I like to take Trevor, shoot a cop and see if I can get away in the redneck wasteland that is his original hangout.
I discovered one road headed for the water, ends and fancies itself a ramp into said body of water.
As I was running, I braked, still going over the ramp but it allowed me to fall short of the water, u turn and head back the way I came.
As I did, I see cop cars flying overhead into the water, others stopping short and crashing into each other then going overboard, and even a brief few seconds where I pass by another couple of cop cars heading the opposite way to the ramp as Im on my way to freedom in classic keystone fashion.
If only I had thought to record or capture that or whatever the hell it is you do to save video.
I need to look into that...

so I was right in the middle of an Office run when I veered off to give P&R a chance so although I am firm in my stance that it is the Office part 2, I will probably give it another chance after I complete this run and let a little time pass so they wont be seen so close together.

We played well against GB just not well enough to win.
The one good thing that hopefully comes out of this season for all football fans is closer scrutiny of the rulebook and those on this supposed all star rules counsel.
I doubt that it will which means with my declining interest each year, I should give less than a shit about football in about 6 years at this pace.
I found it hilarious that daddy Jones, of course thought it was a catch but dopey son who is on the committee was much more murky, uhh well, you know, its a tough call either way and uhh you know we like to look at that rule every year but uh yea....umm, theres a fire somewhere, I gotta go, bye.

And just to re iterate, as Ive said before, it's far too easy to blame the refs, and I do when they obviously deserve it, but moreover I always go back to the league and the rules committee.
Way too much room for misinterpretation which allows for zero consistency across the league. The refs have no clue what the hell a penalty is and make calls that will keep their jobs safe. Cant blame them for that.
I also find it interesting that the one rule in existence that helps the defense is the most idiotic rule on the books.

My tastes have changed dramatically over my lifetime.
As one that has lived through every single iteration of home video game systems, and dominating any and every video or arcarde game, simply because I could, my desires to challenge games are dwindling.
I find my playlist becoming restricted to sports games, and has been for many years.
The shoot em ups and rock em sock em days arent a big draw to me anymore. Not because I dont like them, because I do, I just find Im not good at them anymore, for some stupid reason. Yea, I could pare everything down to beginner level but then Im condescending to myself and it kills the fun.
The other thing is that Im a harsh critic, and I know that. But if you follow some of my posts about my experience with some games, you see Im rather unforgiving on issues that we as gamers have seen for decades and with technology today, those things shouldnt exist. Now, what I know about videogame development could fill a thimble and Im admittedly ignorant, unless we are discussing plotlines, story arcs, cinematic structure etc... but nonethelss, my complaints are legit, to me.
So I guess I am sorta withdrawing into mmy own little yard and spouting, get off my lawn, but hopefully a game or two will come along to change all of that. Every year theres great hype surrounding one, two or three games but it usually ends up sucking ass and I buy my two or so sports titles a year and submerge myself.

Wait, what was the question...?
;-)

What a complicated way to say "I don't know, it just needs to feel right."

That's the obvious answer that you knew before asking the question, therefore I guessed you wanted depth

I saw horrible calls, missed calls on both sides all game, but it aggravates me when people talk about the last one like nothing else transpired during the game...that was the only call...yeah right.
As for the last one, I don't get it and I will never get it; to me, that wasn't PI.
Defend the pass is what a defender is supposed to do, and he did.
This "look for the ball" crap makes zero sense.
How can head placement determine PI?
Everything was perfect there but uh, you shoulda turned your head because although you weren't technically interfering, you weren't looking for the ball....so.... 15 yards.
Fuck this league and their high octane offensive oriented rules. They just won't feel sucessful unti Manning, Brady and Rogers throw for 60 TD's in a season.

Norm, I agree. I remember posting early this year that I was less vested in this season than any other, ever, simply because of, not only the idiotic rules, but the inconsistent enforcement, or lack thereof by these official and that offensive rules committee.
I say again, fuck this league.
