Pro Football / Johnny manziel lawsuit a hoax....

I gotta admit, the accusations were funny. But I bet he was pissed and rightfully so.

QuoteFormer Alabama linebacker Derrick Thomas will be inducted posthumously into the College Football Hall of Fame, sources told ESPN.com on Wednesday.

Thomas headlines the 2014 College Football Hall of Fame class, which will include 14 players and two coaches.

The National Football Foundation's announcement of the entire 16-man Hall of Fame class will be at 12:30 p.m. ET Thursday from Irving, Texas.

Thomas, who played at Alabama from 1985-88, won the 1988 Butkus Award, signifying the nation's top linebacker. As a senior he had a school record 27 sacks in earning unanimous first-team All-American and the SEC's Defensive Player of the Year honors.

He also set Crimson Tide career records for sacks (52) and tackles for loss (68). Thomas was the fourth player selected in the 1989 NFL draft by the Kansas City Chiefs. He was named to nine Pro Bowls.

Thomas died at the age of 33 in 2000 following an automobile accident that left him paralyzed. In 2009, he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Thomas will be the 24th former Alabama player or coach in the College Football Hall of Fame.

Thomas was among 162 players -- 75 FBS and 87 from the lower divisions -- and 32 coaches -- six FBS and 26 non-FBS -- nominated for this year's class.

The 2014 College Football Hall of Fame class will be inducted at the 57th National Football Foundation annual awards dinner Dec. 9 at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City.

College Ball / National Champion debate
May 16, 2014, 09:08:58 PM
Yes Bama gets flack for claiming 15 when you could debate they only have 10 or 14 or whatever. But the fact is Bama was awarded the titles they claim by someone.
I even dispute the 1941 claim, and wonder why they do not claim the '66 title (after all they won it the 2 years prior, and finished undefeated the 3rd year, and Bama does not claim that one) (the '41 title they went like 8-3 and finished 15th or something in the AP, they won some Southern American poll or some crap)

THis team is claiming titles that no one awarded. I find it funny now that their fans have for years said teams that do that are trashy and low class. Very true. While they make a claim that Bama did not claim the early titles, and started in the 80's claiming them, they are half true. While Bryant was in charge at Bama he only claimed the titles he won. After his death the school started to include all titles won.

You guys I am sure heard about the story, they released the video. I think he totally just tried to steal them.... but who knows.

For those unfamiliar he claims he forgot to pay for them.

Pro Football / NFL draft so far
May 10, 2014, 12:17:03 AM
As a cowboys fan, I look forward to the day that Jerry sells the team. I did not think the NFL would force him to become Al Davis.

Need Saftey Help? Draft an OT.

The 2nd round pick is understandable, but I think there were better. You guys know i hate Auburn with a passion, but Dee Ford would have been a better first round choice.

Except they didn't. Also If illegal man down field is called on the TD that tied the Iron bowl (4 men blocking down field 3 OL and a FB) they don't make the SEC title game.
