These are the leading WRs for each team in a certain year of the NFL. I have organized them into their divisions as they were, and all team locations are accurate for the time. Simply guess the year.

Im going to say 03 because of Parcells and Glenn coming to Dallas and Andre Johnson's first year with Houston.
Only thing I question is Rice, thought he was with Seattle in 03? Maybe? Not sure, but lets say 03

very good guess
Rice was with Oakland from about 2001 to 2003 or 04. hmmmm... Gonna agree with Crewe
Well Laveraneus Coles makes it either 03 or 04 so I will go with the group and say 03
Alright, we seem to have arrived at a consensus, so, I'll go ahead and reveal that:
You are all correct! This was actually Jerry Rice's final year on Oakland, he'd go to Seattle the following season. Good job!
I've got a few others I've done at work that I can probably pull from. There's a cool baseball one I may do that a co-worker found on Reddit, that's just all the starting players at a certain position for a given year and you have to guess the year. Baseball being what it is, with call-ups and trades and all that, it's a bit more difficult than these NFL ones I've done.
Still, though, it's a fun time killer. Maybe I'll do a random one on Mondays or something, who knows.
cool man!
It's also fun just to see some player names every now and again. Like this one. Chris Chambers! Remember Chris Chambers? Good times!
Good lord, Charles Rogers.
Ready for another? How about some quarterbacks!
Divisions (and team locations) accurate to the year this took place:
Dan Marino – MIA
Jim Kelly – BUF
Browning Nagle – NYJ
Jeff George – IND
Hugh Millen - NE
Troy Aikman – DAL
Mark Rypien – WAS
Randall Cunningham – PHI
Chris Chandler – PHX
Jeff Hostetler - NYG

Brett Favre – GB
Vinny Testaverde – TB
Jim Harbaugh – CHI
Rich Gannon – MIN
Rodney Peete - DET
Warren Moon – HOU
Neil O'Donnell – PIT
Mike Tomczak – CLE
Boomer Esiason - CIN
My initial thought, looking at the NFC East and West, was between 92 and 94, primarily I think because that's when Young started for SF and he was two full seasons in when finally beating Dallas and winning the SB in 95...I think.
What gives me pause is Boomer. I don't think he was in Cincy through 92, was he? Anyhow, Ill say 92.
I'll go with what Crewe said, 1992...fairly certain Rodney Peete started for the Lions then.
Dang, how did I forget Testicleverde was a buc? And Bobby Hebert, lol wow, forgot about these guys. On the flip side, some of my most hated are on this list too lol
92 also, Montana was starting at the Chiefs by 94

You know, wasn't it 93 when he QB'd KC? I say that because he beat the Oilers with the dysfunctional divisive Buddy Ryan that year.
Now Ive confused myself lol

you may be right, I know he was QB in 94, so it is possible in 93 as well.
I would have guessed 91 with out any thought but Ill go with the group and say 92
Can't fool you guys. 1992 it is.
I'll have to work on a tougher one for Monday....
oh wow how about that lol I guess my Boomer thought was wrong. Didn't realize he was in Cincy that long. The more I thought about the Montana Young thing, I wasn't too sure
Been crazy at work with the snow and the workload and everything so apologize for the delay. I toughened this one up for you.
This is each team's interceptions leader for a particular year. The team locations and divisions are as they were for that year. Your job is to guess the year based on this information.
Here goes:
Barry Wilburn – Washington
Terry Kinard – New York (N)
Everson Walls – Dallas
Elbert Foules – Philadelphia
Travis Curtis – St Louis
Joey Browner – Minnesota
James Griffin – Detroit
Dave Brown – Green Bay
Dave Duerson – Chicago
Paul Tripoli – Tampa Bay
Ronnie Lott/Don Griffin – San Francisco
Reggie Sutton/ Dave Waymer – New Orleans
Bobby Butler – Atlanta
Nolan Cromwell – LAR (N)
Mike Prior – Indianapolis
Mark Kelso – Buffalo
Fred Marion – New England
Rich Miano – New York (A)
Glenn Blackwood - Miami
Keith Bostic – Houston
Dwayne Woodruff – Pittsburgh
Frank Minnifield/Felix Wright – Cleveland
David Fulcher - Cincinatti
Billy Ray Smith – San Diego
Kenny Easley – Seattle
Mike Harden – Denver
Van McElroy – LAR (A)
Kevin Ross/Deron Cherry – Kansas City
I watched the NFL in the 80's but I did not know the players like the 90's I am going to guess like 85 or 86 because of Ronnie Lott and Cherry. I followed the Cowboys, Chiefs and had a friend that was a 49ers fan those I am familiar with. I know lott and walls and cherry all played from 1980~ to 1990~ with those teams. So by logic about 5 or 6 years in they would be in their prime and lead their team. That is my flawed logic. I will refrain from googling to see how good my guess was. I bet I am totally way off LOL ...
will say 1987 final answer.
It is definitely the 80's I am going with 84
man, Everyone Walls led with interceptions for a few years in the early 80's. I recognize a lot of names here, Bostic for Houston as well....man, this is tough, but I'll say 83...maybe 84?
83, final answer lol
Duerson played for the Bears in what, 84-87 or something like that? I don't even recognize that dude from the Lions lol, memorable as always.
I know Duerson didn't lead the team in picks in 85 (thank you 30 for 30, just rewatched that a week ago), so I'll go with...1987. Probably way off but that's what I got. Not too many names I recognize there.
Some of the names I recall, but wouldn't have without this list.
Duerson I remember from the 46 lol
The glorious year of my birth, 1987!
Well done Tider and Norm. Had to bring a challenging one after those first two.
Wow really? I would have thought 85 tops.
Snowed me, good job
I cant believe I got that. I almost said 86, really was estimating
Welp, I was way off on that one.

Yours was hilarious because you were like "It's either 85 or 86" and I was like "haha, got him" and then you go "I'm gonna go with 87."
I was like "Dammit, not again."
I actually felt better about this choice than I did on the ones I guessed correctly and I was way off too lol
The 90's I followed the NFL pretty close, the 80's just a little bit so any 90's I should get. Anything else is a guess for the most part
SACKS LEADERS!!!!!!!!
As per usual, both team locations and division alignment is accurate to the year these stats were recorded in:
Doug Martin – MIN
Dan Hampton – CHI
Al Baker – DET
Dave Stalls – TAM
Ezra Johnson - GB
Dennis Harrison – PHI
Harvey Martin – DAL
Lawrence Taylor – NYG
Dexter Manley/Tony McGee – WAS
Curtis Greer – STL CARDINALS
Bruce Clark – NO
Mike Fanning – LAR (N)
Fred Dean – SF
Don Smith - ATL
Jesse Baker – HOU
Tom Beasley/Gary Dunn – PIT
Eddie Edwards – CIN
Chip Banks - CLE
Lyle Alzado – LAR (A)
Barney Chavous – DEN
Keith Ferguson – SD
Art Still – KC
Jeff Bryant - SEA
Mark Gastineau – NYJ
Don Blackmon – NE
Bob Brudzinski – MIA
Sherman White/Ben Williams – BUF
Leo Wisniewski - IND
oh I got this one, 1982!
Mark Gastineau with his stupid sack dance, Dana Hampton and the 46, Harvey Martin and LT's rookie season all in the same year.
I was gonna say 1983 but Crewe's so confident I'll roll with 1982 lol
I have no idea, so I am gonna steal Norm's 1983 guess. Just to be different :)
Its 1982. Tony Mcgee and Dexter Mannly tied for sacks in Washington make it a done deal. I never liked Mcgee and neither had a good year that year.
Well, that's the usual 4 suspects, so I guess I should reveal:
It's 1982!
You all basically got it right, although I appreciate Tider's attempt to make it interesting by being purposefully different, but Crewe's confidence was not misplaced.
Rigg coming in with the solid logic, too.
good stuff man!

well it was early 80's NFL so I really had no idea. Lyle Alzado pointed me to the early 80's though :)
I have come to stump all of you.
These are the kickers with the most field goals made for each of their respective teams. It is your job to guess the year based on the players, team locations, and division standings which are all accurate per the year. Fun fact, hopefully I'm not setting myself up for failure here, but: Fred Steinfort, who made all of one field goal in 6 tries with Buffalo, was either traded (unlikely) or cut and then signed by New England (more likely). I tried to see which it was, but man, I've never seen a more barren wikipedia page.
Ali Haji-Sheikh – NYG
Mark Moseley – WAS
Rafael Septien – DAL
Neil O'Donoghue – STL
Tony Franklin - PHI
Raul Allegre – BAL
Uwe von Schamann – MIA
Pat Leahy – NYJ
Joe Danelo – BUF
Fred Steinfort - NE
Gary Anderson – PIT
Matt Bahr – CLE
Florian Kempf – HOU

Ray Wersching – SF
Morton Anderson – NO
Mick Luckhurst – ATL
Mike Lansford - LAR
Nick Lowery – KC
Chris Bahr – LAR
Rich Karlis – DEN
Norm Johnson – SEA
Rolf Benirschke - SD
ok this one is a little tougher, but!
I distinctly remember barefoot kickers Rich Karlis and Tony Franklin, always amazed me seeing them kick in a blizzard with no flipping shoe.
Kempf with the Oilers which was short lived, along with legend Gary Anderson and his stupid single bar facemark which I always hated lol
Moseley, Morten Anderson and Wersching...all blasts from the past.
Ill preface my guess with this; Im thinking you're trying to pull a fast one having the last post and this one be the same year so Im guessing 1982 ;-)
Initially I was thinking 80-81 but can't recall when some of these guys were in the league.
Ali Haji-Sheikh is gonna be the key for me, because Eddie Murray for the Lions can't be since he played quite a few seasons here. I remember Haji-Sheikh though because he played college ball at the University of Michigan, and his name typically pops up here as one of the all-time kickers. :)
Since his senior year was 1982, I'm gonna guess 1983 for this one. I know his NFL career didn't pan out as well outside of a season or two, so I'm hoping his rookie campaign was the one he did great in.
dang, then if its 83, my initial 80 would be off a bit lol
I am going to say 83 because of Mosely but he was there for awhile so it honestly could be anything between 80 and 85.
Oh, man, I never responded to this!
Ding ding ding, 83 it is! Man, I underestimated you guys. I'll have to try harder next time.
Hail to Michigan kicker Haji-Sheikh being the only reason I was able to get that right. :)
and here I thought you were trying to pull a fast one going 82 back to back lol
We're doing the blind side!
I present to you a list of the Left Tackle with the most starts for each team in this season (one team had 2 with equal starts). The teams are presented in their divisional structure per the year, and each city location is accurate to that team for the time period. Your job is to guess the year.
I've just about got money that this one is going to come down to someone being like "Oh I remember that guy, he only lasted one season and I hated his guts," because that seems to be the way things go here sometimes.
Ray Roberts – DET
Ross Verba – GB
Andy Heck – CHI

Todd Steussie - MIN

Kevin Sargent/Rod Jones – CIN
John Jackson – PIT
Brad Hopkins – TEN
Tony Boselli - JAX

Jermane Mayberry – PHI
Lomas Brown – ARI
Shar Pourdanesh - WAS
Jumbo Elliot – NYJ
Bruce Armstrong – NE
John Fina – BUF
Richmond Webb – MIA
Adam Meadows - IND
Blake Brockermeyer – CAR
Bob Whitfield – ATL
Derrick Deese – SF
Willie Roaf – NO
Orlando Pace - STL
ok first things first, I have a four year window here because the obvious thing to me is there's no Houston team which means this was between the Oilers and Texans and I know Hopkins from said teams.
Although I see familiar names, I'd have a hard time with accuracy here so Im going to say 2000.
Quote from: Crewe on March 05, 2019, 12:35:39 PM

willie roaf points me to early 2000's also the rest outside of pace I don't recognize. I will say 2003.
Well, this is the first list that I don't recognize the Redskin on the list. I know Web from Miami and Elliot from NY.... I am splitting the difference between Tider and Crew and I will say 2002. Now that is done I must go google Shar Pourdanesh. I have no recall of this guy at all.
I recognize Jumbo Elliott (hello Michigan connection lol), but dude played in the league so long he doesn't offer much of a clue (the guy played for Bo Schembechler in the 80s). Lomas Brown was a former Lion but I honestly can't remember when he left. Willie Roaf and Orlando Pace sound familiar. Guess I'll just snag 2001, it's as much of a guess as everyone else lol.
What a strange year this was. Jumbo Elliot's SECOND year with the Jets, and Jonathan Ogden's second year in the league. New draftees making a name for themselves in their rookie season, such as Walter Jones, Orlando Pace and Ross Verba. The first year that the Houston Oilers began playing in Tennessee.
That magical year was 1997. I chose it completely at random and just got lucky that it happened to be the rookie season for at least two highly identifiable LTs (Pace and Jones), as well as the first year without a Houston team.
I HAVE ACCOMPLISHED MY GOAL! but we'll continue doing these because they're fun.

Hold the phone! Is that right? I thought it was 1998. In my post, my "four years" were between 1998-2002 and I chose 2000 to split the difference.
So much for my recall lol Nice job buc

Well, now that we all know we are wrong about the year I will share what my google search revealed about Shar Poourdanesh. He was the first Iranian to play in the NFL he was only in Washington from 96-98 and was out of the league by 2001 due to injury. You may not have wanted the info but now you have it. ;)
97 eh? Would have considered the 90's my strongest decade of NFL knowledge. But it was LT's and not skill players though. Good job.
Divisions, accurate. Team locations, accurate. These are the running backs with the most rushing attempts in this particular year. As always: guess the year.
Emmitt Smith – DAL

Leroy Hoard - CLE
At first glance, I thought 92, 93, but after seeing Rodney Thomas with Houston, it's 1995, his rookie season which was his best and the next year Eddie George came along and that was that.
I was going to say 94 because Marcus Allen and Emmit Smith. But will trust Crewe on this and go with 95.
Fairly certain it's 95 as well, pretty sure Rashan Salaam's rookie year was that one. So what Crewe said, 1995.
I am guessing 95 as well
Yeah it's 95.............
*grumble grumble*
Divisions, locations, all accurate to the year.
These are not necessarily starters at their positions (although most are), but these ARE the players, for each team, who had the most fumbles in this particular season. The Jets had a competition to see who could win, apparently.
Warren Moon – QB – HOU

Pat Ryan/Freeman McNeil/Ken O'Brien – QB/RB/QB - NYJ
Man, some names in there I hadn't heard in a long while, I still remember though lol
This is tough.
So I know Tony D had some fumble issues but can't recall it being a huge problem or which year he might have led.
Warren Moon doesn't help too much, but same issue, don't remember him having big issues with the ball.
Dave Krieg I absolut recall having fumble-itis, but again, not sure which year it might be although it narrows it down a bit as does Ron Jaworski.
I'm going to say 1985 because we know its after Marino and Elway and my recollection that RJ retired after 86 I think because he was hurt for a good while.....as a Cowboys fan you lock in to those things ;-)
Many of these guys played in the late 70's, early 80's which really threw me, but Marino and Elway tell me its beyond 83.
Id believe just about any year from 83 on but Im sticking with 85 and this is just a guess.
For what it's worth, not that it'll help at all (at least...I don't think it will?) but apparently Warren Moon has the 2nd most career fumbles behind Brett Favre.
I'll also add, because I don't think it's actually helpful: that career fumbles list is entirely QBs from 1-27. #28, the first non-QB? Tony Dorsett.

huh, well, can't trust my recall after all lol
I almost agreed with Crew and I probably should but Thiesman being on the list makes me say 84. He didn't finish the 85 season so I am going to say 84.
Richard Todd (Bama QB) only played in NO for 2 years. At first I was going to say 87 or 88 and I remembered he only played in NO in 84 and 85. So I am going 84
Meh, I'll say 84. I think Danielson was gone from the Lions by then but I could be off by a year.

I think 89 at first glance but it can't be because George was number one pick in 90, so Im going with 1990.
Going 1991. BJ Tolliver screams to me its 1991
I am going 1990, everything says 91 so that makes me think its a trick. lol So I say 90.
I'm guessing 90 because I'm fairly certain Bob Gagliano was long gone by 91. Pretty sure it was Rodney Peete and Erik Kramer for the Lions at that point.
Gonna close up shop on this one as we got our usual crew to respond.
1990 it was! Fun story, Rodney Peete was the Lions actual starter, but this Gagliano fellow still led the team in interceptions.
