First impressions: this game is f'ing gorgeous.

I did get a bit confused because I was thinking this was a continuation of the Modern Warfare series that started in 2007, especially once Captain Price showed up. Turns out this is a reboot, with a storyline that may have some similarities to the real world. Currently just about to start up a mission in a place called Urzikstan which is most definitely supposed to be Syria, and I'm about to team up with a resistance group much like the Kurds (hope the game doesn't abandon them like a certain idiot did...oops, there I go running my mouth again).

Controls are pretty familiar if you've played any game in this series before. The battles so far have been intense...and maybe I'm slipping a bit because I've died a LOT.
"But it is not enough for me to stand before you tonight and condemn riots. It would be morally irresponsible for me to do that without, at the same time, condemning the contingent, intolerable conditions that exist in our society. These conditions are the things that cause individuals to feel that they have no other alternative than to engage in violent rebellions to get attention. And I must say tonight that a riot is the language of the unheard. And what is it America has failed to hear? It has failed to hear that the plight of the negro poor has worsened over the last twelve or fifteen years. It has failed to hear that the promises of freedom and justice have not been met. And it has failed to hear that large segments of white society are more concerned about tranquility and the status quo than about justice and humanity." - Martin Luther King, Jr

Fired this game up for the first time in months with the intention of making some progress in the campaign and potentially finishing it. Had good intentions anyway...

Someone want to tell me why I need to download close to 50GB worth of updates just to access the campaign I started months ago? Why not just include it in the automatic downloaded updates in the first place? So damn stupid.
