Will do. As for it being 'like Uncharted', I'm probably the last one to ask about that since I might be one of the last people on Earth that owns a PS3 and hasn't played those games lol.

Fired this up tonight, and wow the graphics are amazing. Also worth noting that the opening sequence is already an amazing batch of storytelling...and may give me nightmares for the foreseeable future. Excited to see this story play out.

This game has kind of hit the back burner for me-still want to finish off a few other games first before I get to this one. In hindsight, I probably shouldn't have bought this day one. Haha

I have no idea how the pitch speeds worked out that way, but at the AA level it's absolutely devastating when it's working. When it's not working or when the ump squeezes the strike zone, it gets dicey.

Last night, it was working great-12 Ks with only 2 walks, and only gave up 4 hits in a CG 11-1 win.

As for the umps: I love the variance from game to game-I think the community even put together a list a year or two back about how each umpire in the game calls balls and strikes. Gotta love that detail.

Not really much argument here, although I'd flip Prime Time and Favre. No argument for #1.

Modeled my player after Verlander, so I'm bringing the heat: a FB that tops out at 97-98 right now, a circle curve that hits around 82, and a 12-6 curve that hits around 77-78. Might pick up another pitch down the road but I'm actually happy with those for the moment.

I also did the draft: initially got drafted by the White Sox so said f*ck that and went the junior college route for two years and reentered the draft then, which is when I got drafted by the Orioles in the 2nd round. Much better fate than being stuck in an organization full of prom night dumpster baby rejects. 

Update on my pitcher:

After a super hot start to my AA career (5-0 with Baltimore's AA team), I've dropped two of my last three. Still top 5 in ERA, WHIP, and Ks, but the lack of run support pretty much means that if I give up a couple runs odds are I'm not escaping with a W.

I seem to be giving up a few more walks than I'd given up in previous versions of this game. I like that.

Had a start land on Mother's Day, and I like the touch of the players using pink bats just like the league does in real life. Nice attention to detail; I know it's been there for a few versions but I don't recall seeing it at the minor league level in this game until now.

So after saying I was going to not buy anymore video games until I finish off at least one of Arkham Origins/Watch Dogs/South Park: Stick of Truth/GTA V/XCOM/Tomb Raider (not to mention that I'm also playing MLB 14 and have PES 2014 and NBA 2K14 thanks to PS+)...

...I saw this game had hit the below $30 range on Amazon today and just had to order it.  Guess I'll finally get to try this one out next week.

If they called balks in this game, I have a feeling my pitcher would be getting called for it ALL THE TIME.
And maybe that's why it's not really programmed in (users don't really follow those rules to a T), but I honestly have no clue how easy/hard it would be to program things in that regard.

I don't know of any developer that's ever gotten a balk in a game right...but to be fair, I haven't played enough to even see it.

...and the lesson is? The media should research things a little bit more.

Rangers live to fight another day...barely. Henrik Lundqvist deserves 1st, 2nd, and 3rd star of the game tonight and you can't convince me otherwise.

Ah, I remember the player-it was Rick Nash that dove. Got the penalty call too.

These Kings just don't die. The worst thing it seems the Rangers can do is take a two goal lead at any point in the game-the Kings haven't held a lead since Game 6 of the Hawks series and they're up 2-0.

Maybe I'm biased because I used to play goal, but there's no way in hell that third Kings goal should've counted-Lundqvist was interfered with on the play. Leave it to Dan O'Halloran to absolutely blow that play. How that hack still gets picked to ref Cup Final games, I'll never know.

Out of the Eastern Conference are the New York Rangers (just one year after firing HC John Tortorella and hiring the man Torts replaced in Vancouver-Alain Vigneault), and out of the Western Conference are the amazingly resilient Los Angeles Kings. These Kings played in three game 7's in the first three rounds (coming back from 3-0 down against San Jose in the first round on top of that) and won them all on the road. Having teams from the two biggest media markets in the country play for the Stanley Cup has got to have NHL bigwigs drooling over the potential media exposure over the next 1-2 weeks (and seriously, how far is that horseshoe shoved up Bettman's ass right now? Some clowns have all the luck).

Now I'd normally try to keep the schadenfreude to a minimum, but when it comes to the Blackhawks and their mouth-breathing idiotic bandwagon fanbase, that's just not going to happen-call it "Chi"-denfreude if you want. So suck it, Chicago. Another especially gratifying point about the Hawks bid to repeat as Cup champs getting derailed: the 1997-1998 Detroit Red Wings are still the last team to hold the honor of repeating as Stanley Cup Champs. Again: suck it, Chicago.

Snap prediction: the popular pick would be to go with the LA Kings, seeing as they played in a much more dominant conference and they are one hell of a hockey team. But the Rangers have been playing well the last few weeks, and they've also gotten stellar goaltending (as usual) out of Henrik Lundqvist. Jonathan Quick is also a great goaltender but he sure hasn't played like it in these playoffs. I think this is going to be a great series, and the Kings are going to have their hands full with this Rangers squad...but it's still the West in the end. Kings in 7, because they simply wouldn't have it any other way.

If you've got predictions, let's see 'em.

Graphics are really nice, even on the PS3. Controls are okay, a bit to get used to and the storyline is intriguing. One thing I'm not liking are the load times should you fail a mission-definitely a bit annoying (especially in the parts where you need to go into stealth mode).
But this story has me wanting to play more.
