I agree with this. Hockey, fine...curling, I'd love to try. Sure I've snowboarded before but nothing like they do. But I dunno, flying down an icy trail in excess of 70mph crotch first with very little protection just doesn't seem like my idea of a fun time to me.
40 years? Cant be...

Mine is that Michigan would've easily beaten Nebraska in a 1997 National Championship game. Best defense led by Heisman Trophy winner Charles Woodson and a month to prepare for it would've shut that option BS down. 27-6 Final.
The 1993 Houston Oilers should have been in the Super Bowl.
Started the season 1-4. That one win? Over KC, 30-0.
Finished 12-4. First round bye, faced KC in divisional round at home, again, and lost 28-20.
If anyone knows of a more dysfunctional team in the history of the league, Id love to hear about it. Some highlights:
-8 pro Bowl selections, 2 OL, 2 DL, 2 WR, QB, P
-Buddy Ryan improves D but creates divisive turmoil and throws a feeble marshmallow punch at OC Kevin Gilbride on TV during playoff game v KC.
-Jeff Alm commits suicide
-Babygate
-Gay players make the news (not identified)
-HC Jack Pardee perceived as soft, allowing Ryan to take control and ruin the team.
-Still looming was the 41-38 OT loss to Buffalo the previous playoff season (the comeback)
-It would be 2012 before Houston witnessed another playoff game.
This would make Texan natives collective heads explode, but I was a fan of Houston and Dallas and was looking forward to an all Texas Super Bowl.
At least I got one wish.
The 1998 Minnesota Vikings would have beaten the Denver Broncos had they made it to the Super Bowl.
Fucking Gary Anderson.
Blame Anderson all you want, but the Vikes pulled a Gilbride and hence fumbled right before half allowing Atlanta to score, then were too gun shy after that and ended up downing it to run out the clock instead of trying to win the game. Failed to score on at least one overtime possession, so yea, blame Anderson, but throw Green and Cunningham in there too.

Blame Gary Anderson. Dude didn't miss a field goal all year and chokes when the season is on the line.

that Same KC team(early to mid 90's KC) choked away a few superbowl appearances I think. SHottenhiemer had some good teams that choked.
Schottenheimer has to be one of the best regular season coaches, right? I miss that man. He was the Norv Turner of Marty Schottenheimers.

Mine is Cam Newton wins the SEC in 2010 with Mullen and Miss State if Auburn does not pay his family. Dude committed to Auburn without ever stepping foot on campus. and a week earlier was cheering state on in the egg bowl. If the NCAA gives the same Immunity to Mullen as it did to Fulmer in 2001, Auburn is on probation, Miss State wins the SEC that year and Gus is no better than a Division 2 head coach.

Okay, curious to see your responses to this, but I think mine would be what's posted by @ItsAntWright below...and I think this definitely warrants a Top 5.

Oh man. I know this is a homer pick and there's a lot of absolute classics out there. Heck, it's probably not even the number one pick for it's sport. But I have to go with Aaron Boone's ALCS game winning home run.
I remember staying up late that night to watch the game and I swear to you, when he came to the plate I truly just knew he was going to do it.
I will say though, very happy Twitter was here for the Cubs World Series win.

Oh, Replacements is a great choice.
Hm...I know I definitely have some that qualify, gotta think.
Well, the most recent was easily The Greatest Showman. I know it's terrible (and obviously it's not on TV yet), but it'll be easy to get sucked back into that one. It's absolutely ridiculous, absurd, makes no sense, and I love every second of it.
Alright I was way off.
Suicide Squad. Yes, it's awful. It is a genuinely terrible movie. Don't care, it was fun. Absolutely have to turn your brain off, but unlike Batman V Superman, for all of it's faults, it's at least entertaining instead of boring.
I, personally, don't feel like it's a terrible movie, however The Amazing Spider-Man 2 got a LOT of hate when it came out. And, again, it's certainly not perfect, but it's another one that's very entertaining (and better than the first film, with the Lizard).
Gonna throw the 2017 Power Rangers movie up here for this. I was entertained.
Can't forget 2 Fast 2 Furious and Tokyo Drift either. Yeah sure the rest of those movies in the series aren't exactly cinematic masterpieces either but I'm not looking for Inception when I watch them. Everything from Fast & Furious (the 4th one) on is legit good.

The 2017 Power Rangers movie was low-key a good movie.
Replacements is one I love to watch.

"I try to discover a little something to make me sweeter..."
"I've got a brand new pair of roller skates..."
Tried to attach an image but it says the upload folder is full.
So there's a thing going around Twitter: replace any movie entirely with Muppets except for one actor.
I'd go with Avengers: Infinity War and I'd keep Chris Evans.
You're welcome for your mostly entirely Muppet MCU.
Lol, you mean this one? My choice is in my tweet.

Outside that you lose the obvious yet still awesome substitution of Sweetums for Chewbacca, yes.
Not quite Twitter, but saw this on Drew Magary's Funbag on Deadspin today and thought I'd pass it on here:
"If an MLB team decided that they wanted you on their team for the year, how many hits would you get over the course of the season? In this scenario you're a regular starter, and do everything a full time player would do (i.e. practice, watching tape, nutrition plan, etc.), and no matter how poorly you play you will not be sent down."
Over the course of an entire season, with days off, as a regular starter (lets say I'm the #9 hitter on an AL team), I'm probably getting, what, 300, 350 at bats? I'm going to say....2. 2 hits.
I think I MIGHT hit a curveball early on, when pitchers are still trying to figure out what my deal is, and after that I might luck into another one. And then after that they'll just throw 90 mph fastballs at me because there's no way I'm hitting that ever.
well first off, are we talking today? Because if its today, Id rather not answer lol
Fine...let's say we start at Game 1. Regular starter doing everything a full time player would do. Going by Buc's numbers with around 350 at bats? I'll say 10 (which is still .028). Practice has to be worth something IMO. Better training, better shape, film room, etc. Putting in the work should yield some results. Maybe I'm being optimistic, but that's what I'm going with.

Ill say that using your numbers college me hits 20 the me now hits 5 maybe 6.
Probably the only one who pays attention to some of this, but whatever...

Really thought we did this already, but I looked through this thread and even the Top 5 thread just in case and didn't see it, so:
Name 5 Bands You've Seen in Concert, But One Is a Lie
So, like it says: you name 5 bands that you've seen in concert, but one band has to be a lie, and then everyone can try and guess which is the lie. I'll start:
Bands I've seen:
Nine Inch Nails
Marilyn Manson
Third Eye Blind
TOOL
Halsey

Never heard of Halsey, but Ill say Third Eye Blind is a lie. Doesn't really seem to fit, but maybe thats the point ;-)
I participated in this on Twitter, but Ill give it another go here:
Metallica
Guns n Roses
Van Halen
George Jones
Motley Crue
For Buc I'll say Tool, but only because they don't tour all that much.
As for Crewe, I'll say Motley Crue...straight up guess though.
We did do this on Twitter (Crewe you're the only one that guessed), but I'll throw them up here:
Dave Matthews Band
Incubus
Spice Girls
DMX
Green Day
Tool

Alright, I'll get my guesses in before revealing anything.
For Crewe.....I'm going to say Guns and Roses.
And for Norm.....TOOL would seem obvious since he guessed (correctly or incorrectly?!?!?!) that's mine and gave reasoning, so, I'll say Green Day.
Buc is correct, haven't seen Green Day live. FTR, the Spice Girls were awesome lol.

For me, norm was right, haven't seen Motley Crue. Vince Neil yes, the Crue, no.
Sad no one fell for my George Jones chicanery
And for me, TOOL was in fact the lie. Just never got to see them, as Norm said, they rarely tour and I've missed it when they have.
Saw Manson back in Myrtle at House of Blues, NIN in Charlotte during the NINJA tour (Nine Inch Nails/Jane's Addiction), and Halsey at Bonnaroo.
And Third Eye Blind I saw in concert, although I did not stay for the entire thing, when I was like, 14, and my dad had a work event at the House of Blues in Myrtle and they provided free passes to go into the concert side and watch whoever was playing. In this case, it was Third Eye Blind.
