I read this, and I didn't think "40 year old virgin," because I read the whole article and considered the facts.  It was a guy who was having relationship issues to begin with, who couldn't get rid of his apartment, who was surrounded by the stuff of a person who refused to allow him to have anything of his own, and who wanted to experience some enjoyment he hasn't known in a long time.  He's a successful outgoing guy who works as a VP in a firm, and worked directly with Guns n Roses to publish an album.
