Texas ruins everything. That's a good point about it heading in a pro direction, more corporate, a conglomerate. Pretty soon there will be just a few conferences, SEC North and South probably.
The regional thing is surely near death and I agree, just kill the Big 12 already, there's no prestige to it. If anything, re create the SWC

I havent checked it yet, job ran way late, but I did not get a PM with a pw if that matters...assuming you meant a pm on BSB. Can you message via the league file?

Sorry had a busy weekend. We kick off this next Friday.    will finish up Alberta this week and jeffstate. Sorry but this weekend was hectic.

no worries at all. I was just more curious, are we starting with the rosters you posted? And is there a league file yet or did I missit?

Yes sir.

To get the league file
Load league
Select Online
http://www.majorleaguefootball.net/NCAA.bin
then it loads...

as for rosters i was going with default. Did anyone want to change some players etc?
Also i assume the logo is good?

ok. I havent looked at anything yet, Ill peruse this when I get in tonite.
As for players to be renamed, is that a burden?
Certainly no intention of the changing the entire team and if its going to delay things I wouldnt do it it all.

Ill probably have more questions until I find my way through this software so bear with me guys, Im not familiar with it

This Texas OU move to the SEC, yay or nay?
Is it happening? Who will likely stop it, if anyone?
Will OU really go anywhere without OK State? What will Baylor have to say?
Are the Aggies still at the kids table in the SEC? Will it really be worse for them if Texas and OU show up?
More importantly, what will the division alignments look like now?

People are crazy if they thing A&M is scared of Texas and fled the Big 12, thats ludicrous. Texas was hoarding everything in the conference.
As for me, well, Ill always hate OU and any reason to further that hate is ok with me. Texas? I pull for all Texas schools, although I have them ranked and UT is, well, not at the top, and still wont be depending on how they act and who they play.
I also think OU coming along will absorb any negativity from the Big 12 or anywhere else for that matter.

Now teams like Houston and SMU will likely be pursued to the Big 12 and as much as I love my Cougars, this severely weakens the Big 12 with these two leaving. Does that bode well for smaller teams coming in, and for the remaining teams or will the whole state go to the SEC now?
It'll be interesting

What part of the process are we in now?

8
I went ahead and bought it, I shoulda waited lol

That looks good.
I want group input. So, what about the attached for the mean machine logo?

Secondly, as everyone may know, I base this off of the original movie the Longest Yard.
However, the screwball comedy Necessary Roughness entered my mind which is the Texas State Armadillos.
Which one would everyone prefer to kick the crap out of? lol
Of should I just keep what tider has completed thus far?
And also, if I stay with what you have done, can you put the M on the helmet? Looks odd with different logos, especially different colors.

10
anyone have a logo they want to use?

Is the Polar Bear Logo good?

id like to create on but lack the software.
Do you just use generic logos, or nothing at all if there's no created one?

Big Little Lies
Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Shaeilene Woodley

There's been a murder in the affluent community of Monterey. We come in at the end not knowing who died, who the murderer was or why it happened.
As we transition to reverse storytelling we are invited in to the interrogation room where we hear evidence from the community who also attended Trivia Night, which was a school fundraising function, which is where the murder occurred.

Now back in the before, we are introduced to Madeline (Witherspoon) who I think was a phenomenal character. She quickly befriends Jane (Woodley) and her son in the queue during the first day of school.
This is where we meet the nucleus of the show including Celeste (Kidman) who is still a looker, btw...but thats not to diminish her role either because Kidman arguably had the most complicated role among the cast. Laura Dern plays Renata, who you will wish was the one murdered because she is annoying to the inth degree. That means she did a wonderful job, as did most in this cast, sans Madeline's husband Ed played by Adam Scott. Not terrible, but just doesnt fit the community in my mind.
Zoe Kravits joins the cast playing Bonnie who is married to Madeline's ex Nathan, played by James Tupper.

The story is fleshed out in 55 minute episodes sprinkled with snippets of exam room interrogations we saw in the beginning.
I dont think I would be spoiling anything by saying these scenes are tools for misdirection while you soak up the lives of these families.
The scenery is posh as all, sans Jane who is a newly arrived single mother, of these people have grand homes along the Pacific, right on the beach.
Crisp with its color and modern art direction, we live as the other half and it isnt always good. But it should be.
In my mind throughout, Im constantly thinking how petty, petulant, conniving and damaged these people are. They have it all and literally look for dysfunction.
That is not the sole reason we are here though.
The primary arc is that of the parents and kids, you see, on day one of school, Laura Dern's daughter Annabelle is physically abused, literally choked by a school chum.
This all comes out after school when every kids mother has arrived to pick them up. For some insane reason, the teacher makes this known at this point, in front of everyone. To further astonish you, she makes this girl point out her abuser, again, in front of every mate and mom in the class.
She says Ziggy was the culprit.
Amid gasps of pearl clutching horror, Ziggy swears to his mother he's innocent.
Madeline who had friended Jane minutes earlier takes the new mom's side and we are off and running.

Alexander Skarsgård (True Blood) helps round out the cast as Nicole Kidman's husband along with Jeffrey Nording (24) in this dark drama.
I doubt I would have watched this on my own but it was suggested by a trusted resource and as it turns out, I really enjoyed it.
I thought the characters were well fleshed out over the course of a season while keeping the story moving along, which did hold up and was certainly believable.
Take a look and let me know if you agree.

So I pulled out the ole re watch bin this weekend;
French Connection with Gene Hackman and Roy Scheider.
Such a good watch, and based on real cops and events.
I just loved these older action films. Director William Friedkin had no license for many of his street scenes, including the infamous car chase (which Hackman did drive, just not all of it) which meant you were seeing real New Yorkers go about their everyday lives.
Many real cops played parts here as the two the movie was based on were constantly on set advisors.
The transit driver was the real guy because the actor didnt show that day ... just a fun fact.
Hackman had a hard time with the racial language and attitude but wanted it to be like the actual character. Commentary suggests the cop was the opposite of his street persona which he needed so the dealers and street urchins would fear him.

Bullit with Steve McQueen
Yea, the car chase, the 1968 Mustang Fastback vs the 68 Charger. My first car was a beloved 67 Mustang fastback, so yea, Im a fan.

Prisoners
This movie is so good, just really really good. Im usually not a huge fan of Jake Gylleianwhatshisface but he, Jackman and Bello knocked it out of the park here.

Also included was the reboot of Amityville Horror, i.e. The Conjuring
This movie is just downright creepy, and me being a fan of horror, well, sign me up. Plus, Vera Farmiga :-)

FYI, since I just watched the French Connection again, Popeyes Famous Fried Chicken was named after the Gene Hackman character Popeye Doyle
