It's interesting to me that an nfl player has to resort to resources outside the team to get fit.
Seems like it's a lack of effort or bad attitude, but that's just at me.

Could've swore I saw a comment from a staffer close to that whole situation, said something to the effect of "Eddie Lacy is really hungry this offseason". Wasn't that part of the problem?

The ol' teabagging Five-head makes it official.

As expected, the platitudes are rolling in from the usual places...some making more dubious claims than others.

Megatron makes it official and calls it a career too. Not shocking but still a bummer just the same.

Was there really ever a doubt about Manning?
Hate to see game changers like CJ go without a title, but, that's football.
And speaking of, there won't be any football in Houston as we signed Brock, so the band aids continue...

Skittles

QuoteNoted Skittles-liker Marshawn Lynch retired from football following the 2015 season, leaving a Skittles-shaped void on the Seahawks' roster. That is, until Seattle drafted Alabama defensive tackle Jarran Reed with the No. 49 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft and he walked across the stage with a bag of Skittles. True to the classic finance aphorism "It takes Skittles to make Skittles," Reed was rewarded by Skittles for proudly displaying his Skittles with more Skittles than you probably ate during the course of your entire childhood.

Roll Skittles.

Anyone see this? He bumped into the coach i thought on purpose, but bulldozed? Coach should be fined for being a wuss.

I'm all for a little showmanship and stuff, but running onto the other team's sideline is a bit much and just asking to get your ass kicked. Bumping the coach should've been a flag, easily.
If these two teams play each other again this season and Carter is still there, I'd expect someone to line him up and I'll laugh when it happens.

I really tried to watch the 49ers/Rams game last night - it was the first chance I really had time to sit down and pay attention to the game (had other things to attend to this past weekend, so didn't get to watch much if any college or pro games), but I couldn't pay attention to that worthless bag of monkey crap Chris Berman try to pretend he's an NFL play-by-play guy for more than five minutes.

Well that and the Rams suck too.

It's like the football world just wants to see BSB matchups. Seahawks/Lions this Saturday should be fun.

Lol, for you maybe - I'm expecting that game to be over by 9:15 my time. Try not to kill my team's QB please, he's our only hope.

Haha trust me, this year's Seahawks team is the most flawed since Russell Wilson was drafted. It's nothing like the team of the previous four seasons. It'll likely be a close one.

Lol - can I bet on Seattle?   :banghead:
Inception's on IFC, and I think there's a Law & Order: SVU marathon I can easily flip to that night once the game gets out of hand around 8:45 or so. That should give you an indication of my prediction for the game. #SameOldLions
But sure, why the hell not.

Just let me know what pic you want on Sunday - I'm partial to Richard Sherman   :P

Was the officiating in the Seahawks/Lions playoff game terrible? Yeah, probably. But any Lions fan solely blaming the officials for the loss last night is an idiot. They needed to play a perfect game on the road against a great team and they came nowhere near doing that. Congrats thai, and good luck next weekend.

And for the record, I made it to about halftime before switching over to Inception on IFC.

Yeah the refs definitely didn't do the Lions any favors. Good game though Norm (for the half game you were able to stomach lol).

No preference on the avatar, feel free to pick whatever you'd like. If you can't think of anything, feel free to use Richard Sherman dressed as Harry Potter, haha.

That may have been one of the craziest finishes to a Super Bowl I've ever seen - a comeback for the ages. And our first OT in Super Bowl history, too.

I tuned in in the second half, saw it was 28-3 was like wow. Told my son, I bet the patriots make it close. He goes nah to late. I told him they will pull it to within a TD. So we watched, still shocked they won. I figured they would lose by a TD when it was done. Its crazy they let the Pats come back like that.  I kinda hate it for Julio, because of his awesome catch is just now a footnote. Oh well regardless of the outcome it was an awesome game overall.

Desmond Howard, Super Bowl XXXI. For Green Bay...won coincidentally against the Pats.
