Razer's motion controllers look just like this thing, though I do have to say, this one is extremely cheap (as in price) compared to the Razer product.  Though this isn't a motion control, which is probably why they made it to look this way without some kind of fear that Razer would file a lawsuit.  Still, we'll see how far this thing comes, I don't like the idea of backing anything where it's all proof-of-concept, but only half of the concept exists.  They should have completed the right-hand peripheral before they made a kickstarter...

Speaking of the name...  "Grifta."  This is a really poor choice in name, because anyone who's played World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade, or has more than a passing acquaintance with the concept of shady or shiesty individuals know that the term "Grifter" and the name "Grifta" are way too close together.  Are they selling a quality product, or are they going to live up to the name of the product? Hopefully it's just a really unfortunate coincidence.
