Honest to goodness laughable that the GOP blocked Garland and are now set to have two selections.
Ive sincerely tried for two years to understand Trump supporters decisions and Im done as well.
The absolute worst part about this for me? Ive been against straight tickets since before I could vote. My dad was running for office and was supremely more qualified than his opponent and was washed away in the Reagan sweep. I swore I would never pull a straight ticket, but you know, Trump and the GOP are really making me consider it, seriously, and I will hate myself for it, but hey, fuck em. thats their motto, so its mine too.

It's frightening, honestly. The real diehard Trump supporters just don't live in reality. They eat up every word like he's some sort of demagogue and I don't understand it. Of all people: Donald Trump?!
And even the "I'm a sensible Trump supporter" people, great, if you REALLY believe his economic policies are viable (they're not) or his tax cuts will help (they won't), but even if you believe they will, the things that he's doing, that these people are willing to overlook, are asinine. If you really think he can improve the economy and the job market and think that the trampling of rights for minorities, women, and LBGTQ is an acceptable trade-off, then I just don't know how to get through to someone like that.
And, what angers me the most, is the people who regret voting for Trump. As if they didn't know who he was before the election? COME ON!
Don't get me wrong, if the current elected Democrats had spines, we also might not be in this mess (Look, I voted for Hillary in the election although not the General, but still, she's wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better than Trump but were there really no other candidates?). But, most of all, I hate that there's so many registered Dems that WANT the Democrats to have a more progressive, leftist agenda (whereas the GOP has gone FARRRRRRRRRRRRR right with little adversity from their constituents) and yet the Dems continue to be afraid.
I really hope Joe Crowley losing his seat to a young, female minority who's a Democratic Socialist is the start where the Democrats see they have to allow themselves to be the champions of progress, rather than continue the "we need to be civil" rhetoric. People are dying. Children are dying. In these cages, in our schools. The time for civility is done.
You know, I keep holding out hope, I really am. I want a civilized society, I want the Democrats to remain civil but we cant have that apparently.
Im really afraid we are headed to a pre civil war type government where decorum is long gone as is civility logic and the interests of the people.
And you're right, his policies are universally shit. He's broken every single moral and ethics code known to man. Every day I say to myself, what would happen if a Democrat had done just one single thing he's done? And how a man can bang a porn star while married to a pregnant wife is somehow forgivable by the so called party of God is awe inspiring. If that were Obama, this world would still be burning.
Policies aside, Im in wonderment as to how people overlook his mocking of handicapped people, POW's, women....well, you know.
I was talking to this one woman who was a Trumpie and I seriously wanted to just reach out and grab her by the pussy and remind her that her God said it was ok.
I also agree about the Democrats not stepping up and I really want to find some noble people to stand up and run our government but seriously, now, who the fuck would want to get in the middle of this bullshit?
I want a guy like Al Franken who resigned without being asked or pressured and even after being forgiven. I don't want a guy like Trump or Moore or any other guy who ignores every action of his but focuses on everyone else and then openly lies about it.
I think Franken did have a lot of pressure, internally from Ds, to resign. They didn't have to "impeach" or "recall" him or anything, he did eventually choose to step down, but it wasn't an immediate thing. For what that matters.
And now today, we've got a shooting at a newspaper in Maryland (something Milo called for his followers to do: http://amp.ktvu.com/news/milo-yiannopoulos-texts-about-gunning-journalists-down-2-days-before-capital-gazette-shooting?__twitter_impression=true, not too mention, you know, Trump and his rhetoric).
And 500+ people arrested at the protest at the Capitol. Arrested. 500+. For protesting.
This is the dystopia.

I didn't remember him being under pressure, well, except by extremists on the right who, not surprisingly failed to see the hypocrisy. But Ill defer since I don't remember that well.

"I can't wait for the vigilante squads to start gunning journalists down on sight," he told the Observer over text message, published on Tuesday.
And it happens, and now says he is not responsible and somehow people are unjustly calling him out for it. He even states point blank he doesn't regret what he said. I mean, honestly, Im being serious, how can anyone sign off on this guy or his cult?
I dunno, maybe Im missing context or something, I give up

I can show you some stuff the right posted about Obama that was directly out of the nazi play book. Or the left again with W Bush. etc... Both parties care little for the people until it is time to vote. So far this is as valid as the farce that was Obama's birth certificate claim, and Russian collusion or the OK symbol.

Really i read the tweet, I read the wikipedia page, I get it people hate trump, if you want to talk about how stupid the Tarriffs are, or how stupid and moronic alot of his tweets are I will lead the charge with you or many number of outer countless things. there were Russian indictments of Russian involvement but how many guilty pleas has the trump admin been guilty of?
https://www.denverpost.com/2018/02/23/rick-gates-donald-trump-pleads-guilty-russia-investigation/
QuoteThe charges against Manafort and Gates do not involve activities inside the Trump campaign, although the conduct in question continued while they worked there. Instead, the special counsel accused the men of lying on their income-tax returns and conspiring to commit bank fraud to get loans as part of an elaborate scheme to use their income from the Ukrainian political party to buy properties, evade taxes and support Manafort's lavish lifestyle.
Perhaps I'd be less inclined to believe if, say Trump didn't say there were bad people "on both sides" when Nazis held a rally in Charlottesville and murdered a woman.
Or if he didn't round up Mexicans and throw their children into concentration camp-lite.
Or didn't institute a travel ban against Muslims (that left off countries where terrorists actually came from).
But if it sounds like a duck and acts like a duck, it's probably a duck.
Manafort was Trump's campaign manager, not only that, when Trump selected him the move came out of left field. Don't play the Trump's innocent card. There's a reason Manafort is his guy. There's a reason Trump met with Russian officials with only Russian press present. There's a reason his phone calls with Australia were so public yet nobody listened to the call with Putin. There's a reason his son met with a Russian lawyer, as opposed to ANYONE ELSE, to "get dirt" on Clinton.
There's a reason Trump continues, including today, to say Russia didn't meddle in the election despite all of our intelligence agencies saying they did.
Dont be willfully obtuse.

Yes from a foreign government agent, but she was just a russian citizen(is the story), just like the former british officer was just an citizen(allegedly). Both should be ethically illegal if nothing else.
Lynch meeting with Clinton on the tarmac in secret was just to talk about granchildren and yoga poses. Nothing to do with the FBI who she was in charge of.

Editing post because my original comment did not come through. I was referencing the nazi tweet. I was not calling you out or anything anyone said. My only question was the 1388 tweet. I was mainly playing devils advocate, because people were freaking out over the OK symbol a few months ago until it was proven to be a hoax. Just like I did when people were going after birth certificates and nazi like ways with the national police force Obama mentioned in a speech. I had no issue with what anyone said, just that obscure tweet. I think that is Alex Jones type of stuff. I disagree on that one topic and was playing devils advocate.

I may get it wrong but some POS alt right dude was doing it at some functions, and I am not sure if it was something they started or one of those vox type sites but somehow the OK symbol was rumored to be "Secret" for WP or White Power, it grew legs for a few days then turned out it was a hoax and was done to troll people. It was just to stir up shit.
