Day 18
Favorite sequel. (Doesn't have to be a II)

XMen Days of Future past... Quick silver stole the show.

Day 16
Best car chase scene

Always loved the 15-20 minute highway chase scene in The Matrix Reloaded.

Day 17
Favorite comedy

I'll go with The Hangover. The sequels were wack but I'll always remember how much damn fun I had watching this one in theaters.

Day 18
Favorite sequel

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.

Crewe

Office Space is a winner and loved the hangover too. It revitalized my hope for the genre.

b]Day 19
A film you consider to be the best sports film[/b]

When Im considering what makes a sports film the best for me, Im looking for realism. A few reach this plateau for me along with a believable story.
I really like Bull Durham. Written by a former minor leaguer, it really captured baseball. Tin Cup was another good one, and believe it or not, The Bad News Bears (not the god awful remake)
Theres still a few in the tank, but IM mainly considering two now and I know the one I omit will be picked up in this thread ;-)
Im going with *61
A wonderful film depicting the race for Babe Ruth's immortal HR record. Roger Maris and Mickey Mantle are teammates who care less about the record and more about winning but the media buzz is just unrelenting. The pressures on not just them, but the team is almost immeasurable.
If you're a baseball fan, you've seen it. If you're a sports fan, might want to give it a look anyway.

Day 19

Rocky.

Where as it did spawn 5 sequels, with the same plot, the first one was the best. As a kid I didn't really care for it but as I got older I learned that it's more then a film about boxing, but more of a David vs Goliath / Coming of Age / Love Story.
If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense.
Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't.
And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would.

Leave 61* to the damn Yankees fan next time, Crewe!

Anyways, before someone else takes it, let me go ahead and grab Rudy.

If any of you say Field of Dreams, I murder you.

So many to choose from. Moneyball and Rush were both very well done, but I think I'll go with Remember the Titans. This can also fit into the 'movies I'll watch whenever it's on TV'.

lol! sorreeeeee ;-) hey, Im a baseball fan, so I can appreciate a great story even if it is the stupid Yankees.  :D
Field of Dreams never really appealed to me, so no worry here.

TheNorm

Some pretty damn good choices here, 61* and the Replacements are amazing.
All I'll say about Rudy is...Rudy was offsides.

Day 19

I'd typically pick Miracle here, but since I already used it earlier I suppose I'll go with...A League of Their Own.
"But it is not enough for me to stand before you tonight and condemn riots. It would be morally irresponsible for me to do that without, at the same time, condemning the contingent, intolerable conditions that exist in our society. These conditions are the things that cause individuals to feel that they have no other alternative than to engage in violent rebellions to get attention. And I must say tonight that a riot is the language of the unheard. And what is it America has failed to hear? It has failed to hear that the plight of the negro poor has worsened over the last twelve or fifteen years. It has failed to hear that the promises of freedom and justice have not been met. And it has failed to hear that large segments of white society are more concerned about tranquility and the status quo than about justice and humanity." - Martin Luther King, Jr

League of their own was a classic.

Crewe

Thai, completely forgot about Rush. That was a good flick.
Norm, I was counting on you to pick miracle lol
Hard to go wrong with League though

I used Miracle a few days ago for something else lol. Taking that one out (and 61*), it was a legit toss-up between League, White Men Can't Jump, and 42.
