Jeez, I can only choose one?

I doubt I'd really be playing Manson or NIN in company under most circumstances, so let's go with:

Run The Jewels - Call Ticketron

Day 12
A song you can't play while in polite company

There's so many I could choose from, which way shall I go? Hmm...I'll go new school. MY LEFT STROKE JUST WENT VIRAL

Kendrick Lamar - Humble.

Lol that was fresh.
Like you say, options here.
Lou Reed walk on the wild side comes to mind, but I'll go with Zombie again, Pussy Liquor

This was a great opening track, and one I was thinking about (along with a bunch of stuff off of Straight Outta Compton).
"But it is not enough for me to stand before you tonight and condemn riots. It would be morally irresponsible for me to do that without, at the same time, condemning the contingent, intolerable conditions that exist in our society. These conditions are the things that cause individuals to feel that they have no other alternative than to engage in violent rebellions to get attention. And I must say tonight that a riot is the language of the unheard. And what is it America has failed to hear? It has failed to hear that the plight of the negro poor has worsened over the last twelve or fifteen years. It has failed to hear that the promises of freedom and justice have not been met. And it has failed to hear that large segments of white society are more concerned about tranquility and the status quo than about justice and humanity." - Martin Luther King, Jr

Day 9
A song that unnerves or disturbs you

Mainly because I first heard this in Requiem for a Dream, which is also kind of unnerving and disturbing.

Lux Aeterna - Requiem for a Dream

Meant to post this the other day....

Bama used to have this as their intro and updated it through 2012 .... this is the 2010 one you see some NFL greats from Stabler, Namath, Cornelius Bennett, Derrick Thomas, etc...

Agreed, damn good album overall, this is one that made me a fan of rap

Day 13
A song you like from an artist you don't normally like

I really can't stand modern country-it's formulaic and predictable. That being said...I heard this song at the right time.

Cole Swindell - Ain't Worth the Whiskey
"But it is not enough for me to stand before you tonight and condemn riots. It would be morally irresponsible for me to do that without, at the same time, condemning the contingent, intolerable conditions that exist in our society. I hear ya norm. I was old country. The worst thing to ever happen to country was Billy Ray steal a hit Cyrus.
This isnt quite honest because I like more of this bands songs than just this one but they aren't a staple for me.

Yeah yeah yeahs Gold Lion

I would probably put lady gaga poker face but its already been done.

so.... Not a huge Manson fan so

Busta Rhymes ft. Ozzy Osbourne - This Means War [Iron Man Cover]

I actually got in trouble once for playing this song at work due to the heavy language, and racial slur's.

If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense.
Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't.
And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would.

Pandering! That's the word I was looking for when describing modern country. Saw this from comedian Bo Burnham a year or two ago...enjoy.

Day 14
A song you like from before the rock & roll era

I typically think of "In the Mood", but this one might be my favorite.

Benny Goodman Orchestra - Sing Sing Sing (With a Swing)

Judy Garland - On the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe

To be fair, I'm a huge fan of most 20s, big-band type music. Boardwalk Empire is partially one of my favorite shows just because of the music alone.
